Thank you for the advice... I believe that your right. I have made the changes deleted install.php and the upgrade file. I have a little problem making the config.php a read only file... damn computer won't allow it... but I'm sure I will figure that out. OK... with the install.php and upgrade file ...

Yes... everything was removed when my DB resetted. When it resetted I dumped the DB and it didn't have any users or messages... along with being zero kb. I get the text of my db dumped on my screen... but no option to save. Unless I have to copy the text and then save it like that. I don't have anything prompting me to download or anything of that nature. Is this what its suppose to do. Do I have to slect the text and then save it?

The release states that the back up feature is working. But it doesn't look like its working on my board. Where is the backup file saved? Perhaps I'm looking for it in the wrong area.

I noticed that those links are working on other sites running phpbb2... just not on mine. It could be due to the upgrade... I was just wondering if anyone else is experiencing the same problem.

My new registered users it seems are still defaulted to no bbcode, no smilies, no html. Regardless of the forum wide settings. Well in any case i love phpbb2... i guess my users just gotta smarten up.

Well in the case that 2.0 is locked... can't wait for another version to fix this problem. I have 1537 registered users from my old board... and all are defaulted to no bbcode, no html, no smilies. Well I'm glad to know that at least new users will have bbcode & html... got to look into the smilies ...
