Hi there, trying to install the latex/phpbb mod using latexrender. with whereis (similar to which) i located latex, dvips, convert and identify on the freebsd machine of my webhost. It doesn't work. The step that doesn't work is the latex command. I checked the latex path with is_executable and it's...

@ [img-bbcode]: i wasn't aware of the exploits. ( http://www.phpbb.com/phpBB/viewtopic.php?t=188803&highlight=images+img ). i recommend using the 2.0.9 bbcode.php for img tags if you don't need support of img tags for external galleries as G2 or dynamic signature images. otherwize you could disable ...

small reminder to smart people: - the bbcode.php change was made to harden the img bbcode tag further, not to revert the introduced security check, allowing non-image extensions again. The check for remote avatars is intended and on purpose too. What kind of security whole is introduced through val...

SHS` wrote: For the recrod, phpBB2.2.x will support PHP5 as well as PHP4.2.x+ and have a DBAL with SQLite support.
with other words: phpbb 2.0.x won't support PHP5 which has been finally released now, right?

The bbcode correction for the img tag is still incorrect. I created a sourceforge.net bug request: 990269 BBCode img Parser Bug copy'n'paste from sourceforge: The BBCode parser for [img doesn't recognize correct URLs as image URLs. The problem is that the regular expression in the bbcode.php only ac...

it was said before, this ain't a feature request topic. anyway, to sove your problem: phpbb 2.2 is gonna use image magic (see screenshots above). so on the fly resizing of pics is possible. however, i'd produce 2 or 3 versions of the avatar pics right after the user has uploaded his avatar. then you...

will it be possible to revoke rights from an admin? private should mean that even THE admin can't view the discussions if not desired. That really doesn't make much sence. If the admin wanted to see what was in the forum, all he'd need to do is give himself the permissions. If he really doesn't wan...
