Re: Adding a permision question (Solved)

3Di,

Thanks for the links. It at least gives me confirmation that I am looking at the correct documentation, however incomplete it may be. I'll probably try to throw what kinerity told me into the wiki at some point.

Re: Adding a permision question

kinerity, many thanks. That was exactly what I needed.

3Di, Maybe i'm blind, but I cannot find the information kinerity gave me in there. I see directions on what to add to the migration, but that is it. The permission tool only covers how to do the migrations.

Marking as solved.

Adding a permision question (Solved)

I'm trying to add a couple permissions in my extension, but i'm not certain this is going right. I tried following https://wiki.phpbb.com/Tutorial.Permissions#Adding_a_permission in my migrations folder i've got the following public function update_data() { return array( array('permission.add', arra...

Re: Troubles with Automod

first three lines of code in install_automod.php are

Code: Select all

if (!defined('IN_PHPBB'))
{
	exit;
}
You shouldn't execute that file directly, it just aborts. Launch http://example.com/forum/install/index.php to install automod. You should just keep moving to the next step there, no manual url editing.

Re: Auto Mod and older versions of MODX.

Would that error also cause it not to show up under uninstalled mods unless another mod was present in the folder?

Re: [BETA] Cash Mod 1.0.0 Beta 1

@jaygee It is still beta, and it looks like handyman hasn't worked on it recently. The latest version of phpbb(3.0.5) does deviate from the version the install was made for. I made a few tweaks to the install.xml file, and the one I made actually will install with automod. It is here. http://pastebi...

Auto Mod and older versions of MODX.

I just locally installed a fresh copy of phpbb3.5. Immediately thereafter I installed automod, without any problems. I then uploaded mod version check to the store/mods directory, and installed it. However it didn't quite install correctly, and I'm wondering if this is an automod problem, the old mo...

Re: Music in forum

I did this back with my phpbb2 forum a few years ago. Another option would be to throw the forum into one frame, and the music into another. If the music frame is 0% and the forum frame is 100%, it will appear as hidden. Of course this then makes it impossible for somebody to stop the music, but it ...

Re: [Tool] MODiffX (Automatically generates MODX files)

I am interested in this. I've tried making mods before, but I always gave up after trying to keep track of all the edits.

The download is corrupted. Windows won't unzip it.

Re: Clickable forum and topic rows

Two small issues with the mod. 1. On the view active topics page, if the row is clicked, it opens at the first post of the topic, not the first unread post as it does in regular forums. 2. On "the team" page, for the moderators, selecting the drop-down box to see what boards are moderated ...

Bot stopper by disallowing *@*.info

I am the admin of 2 boards, and the coder for a third. All three of these boards are being swamped by spambots with .info emails. currently only *@something.info can be blocked. There is a mod out there that blocks *@something.*. Since .info sites are dirt cheap, the spambots have no end in supply. ...

Ok I've isolated the code http://swordofthebrotherhood.servegame.com/game/game.php? is a demo of what I have currently... The code has too many dependencies to post up here at the moment...but you can see at least get an idea of what things are. I just have the nav interface so far...nothing fancy...

Ok, I'll explain how phpbb is put together. the file you access...for sake of discussion i'll use index.php, will call three other files, a template for index php, overal_header, and overall footer. The headers and footers also call their own template files so the output page is like this Overal_Hea...
