i ran the db install myself because I was going to do the file update by hand since i couldn't do the automatic...but figured i'd ask first before going file by file to find the differences...so the db is uptodate but the files are not.

anyone, any suggestions?

yes it will work, but you'll need to add the fixes stated as you notice them...the only fix that I really noticed that I needed was for the polls...but I could just be overlooking things.

nevermind, I solved this...staff can close the topic... I got to thinking about what changes I had made and it occurred to me I was trying to tweak the built in quick login to work on all pages...and from here > http://www.phpbb.com/community/viewtopic.php?f=46&t=1306235 is what caused the problem.....
