As far as I recall these have not changed The second error states the table has crashed and that shou...

I have been running phpBB for close to 2 years and for the last year with no problem. Recently my hoster started to switch things around and moved my site to a different server and forum went nutz with MySQL errors. This has been going on for over a week now and now when ever I load the main index.p...

New PHPBB install problem

I setup a new site with PHPBB 2.0.20 clean install and upgraded it to 2.0.21 and added EZmod and firefox password fix. I just realized that it will not save changes to config, Allow automatic logins (defaults to No), Search Flood Interval (default blank), Allowed login attempts, (default blank) and ...

Is this a modded forum? AFAIK phpBB closes all connections and even cleans up vars rather primly after itself, vanilla - but mods and addons may not be as well made. I would say moderately modded. It has extreme style, ezmod, simple subforum and a few other small mods but not a radical PHPBB layout...

MySQL/Server Issues

(I know you can keep increase MySQL resources but if code is not re...

By the way, one generally doesn't have to be a moderator to create new topics.

Thanks, I will try that out. BTW, I meant to say sub forum areas not topics.

What is they lastest version of this that has a EZ Mod freindly install file with it? I used such a version last year but I seem to have misplaced it. Someone had tweaked the install file to be EZ Mod friendly. I never did hear if someone had a answer to this. There's no such version that I'm aware...

Re: Posting without Activation

New users need to be activated by the admin before posting. I have specific ranks assigned. However, someone just posted without my activating them and as a guest. How did this happen? How can I prevent it from happening in the future? I am concerned because some sections of our board are private a...

The MySQL server is not configured to handle as many simultaneous users as it's getting. As Noobarmy says, the host will have to fix it, because they control this. Ideally, when dealing with MySQL-based websites, the web server will be configured to not allow more connections than the MySQL server ...
