Re: ACP Still lists old db version after upgrade

Just a note that this fix still works; I found my way here via a Google search, and my board is 3.0.12 . I'd updated from mysql 5.1.72 to 5.1.73, but ACP still showed the old version until I deleted /cache/data_global.php

When I then refreshed the browser page with ACP, it was fixed.

Re: how to change "From" in email

If we're talking about version 3.0.7-PL1: go to /includes/functions_messengers.php into function msg_email() (might be line 424) and find         if (empty($this->replyto))         {             $this->replyto = '<' . $config['board_contact'] . '>';         }         if (empty($this->from))        ...

Re: Anchor BBCode MOD ([gotopost])

I tried that on the phpbb3 demo site (http://www.try-phpbb.com/30x/) and the markup looks good! It doesn't actually perform, due to the sitename vs configuration difference, but it sure looks as if it would do what I need it to do. I'll install a full phpBB3 testing site and test it in a live local ...

Re: Anchor BBCode MOD ([gotopost])

The [goto] and [anchor] bbcodes can be added via ACP->Posts->Add a new bbcode.

The [gotopost] bbcode, AFAICT, cannot. That's why I need a MOD.

Re: Anchor BBCode MOD ([gotopost])

Does anybody have a suggestion as to how I can hire someone to translate the Anchor MOD 1.04 to phpBB3?

Anchor BBCode MOD ([gotopost])

(My previous request ) My board uses the Anchor BBcode MOD extensively. The MOD allows one to use these add'l BBCodes: [anchor] [goto] [gotopost] From the FAQ section that the MOD installs: This board has anchoring and linking within posts enabled. To make anchors within your posts, just specify [ a...

Re: [2.0.6] Anchor BBCode

I've been using this MOD for over two years, and it works correctly with Firefox & IE, including jumps to anchors defined within a post. Using the "last" updated version, that is. An exception is if a topic has a lot of images: some browsers will not properly align the viewport I've found. But on to...

Re: Anchor BBCode MOD

What a user you can't do with an HTML replacement is type a link to another post like this: Please see [gotopost=15436]this post[/gotopost] for a picture of that sprocket. . . . which is how a lot of posts on my board are formatted, and how my users are used to being able to link to other posts. [We...

Re: Anchor BBCode MOD

The HTML replacement in karisemple's example orks ONLY with an anchor within the SAME post. It cannot create a link to another post.

Nor would it deal with the ~6000 existing gotopost links already in existence on my board.

But Thanks for replying.

Thanks for replying.

No. While that works within the same post, it will not allow my existing links to other posts continue to work.

Re: Anchor BBCode MOD

No response. Hmmm.

No volunteers, so I guess I should ask: who does this kind of thing commercially (ie for money)? I need this MOD, and can't afford the time to come up to speed to do it myself.

Re: phpBB2.0.19 -> 3.0: [gotopost] anchors

For others that get here when searching for the same answer: I've gotten halfway there. I appreciate your tip about adding the custom bbCode first, then performing the conversion. The bbCode below converts and makes functional all the instances of [gotopost] tags which are links to other posts which...
