Re: Upgrading to 3.2 fails when using MSSQL

Thanks also.

I had to rebuild my server after a crash, then discovered the newer php needed the newer phpbb, then found it kept failing on the database update and I was sure it was because of everything else be new versions as well.

Re: Add URL to banner logo without the extra breadcrumb

Thanks, that's what I was already thinking I'd need to do when I asked in this post https://www.phpbb.com/community/viewtopic.php?f=466&t=2291531 and it was suggested that the best way would be to post an extension request rather than editing the files directly. :) I've always done it as a direct ch...

Add URL to banner logo without the extra breadcrumb

Greetings, I'd like to be able to have the URL attached to the banner logo point back to my main site page, but I don't want the extra breadcrumb that is added when using the Board Setting for "Main website URL" Ideally, extra options under the "Main website URL" where you can toggle "breadcrumb" an...

Changing the banner/logo URL

Greetings, I want to change the URL that the forum banner/logo links to, but I don't want to have the extra breadcrumb link added at the start of the breadcrumbs. Is the only way to do this to edit the template and change the URL? A future option to have the "Main Website URL" apply to the logo but ...

You should start a new issue as this topic is resolved.

Yours is completely unrelated to the one I posted, you aren't even using the same database software.

Re: 3.1.1 Contact us page still has "send copy to yourself"

Try logging off the board and trying it as a guest. It doesn't appear anymore which is what it is supposed to be doing now. I missed the "for guests" part of the release note message.

Re: 3.0.12 to 3.1 fails updating database MSSQLNATIVE

Perfect, all working now thanks.

FYI - looks like this is fixed in 3.1.1, slightly different edit with the brackets

Code: Select all

AND INDEXPROPERTY(ix.id, ix.name, 'IsUnique') = " . ($unique ? '1' : '0');

Re: 3.0.12 to 3.1 fails updating database MSSQLNATIVE

Also, I tried doing the "full" replace upgrade according to the "II. FAQ" steps here: viewtopic.php?f=466&t=2232411

It stops on the same point of the DB update with the same error messages.

Re: Auto Redirect after post goes to edit post window again

My reasoning is that the first assumption people will make is that it would be a PHPBB related issue given everything else works Yes but you may also take the view that phpBB, out of the box, works fine for many thousands, millions, who knows, without issues. I'm pretty sure there aren't "thousands...

Re: Auto Redirect after post goes to edit post window again

If you find the solution you can post it here, it's just that people shouldn't be seeking help for server setup issues here. Agreed. It's just that the only place the issue manifests itself is in a PHPBB web site. Everything else on the server works fine. My reasoning is that the first assumption p...

Re: Auto Redirect after post goes to edit post window again

A search turned up a couple of other reports on the support forums here and some at other phpbb related communities. Yes, I agree it doesn't appear to be a PHPBB related problem and is looking very much like a server config issue, but I figured it would be handy to post the outcome in this topic on ...
