Ok, thanks for taking a look at it. I will look deeper into it and see if I can come up with something and report back here.

After installing this mod, this is what I get:

Image

It seems to be a result of the modification to the lang_main.php file but I can not figure out what it is.

Holy smokes!

Now - to make a file for EasyMOD to use. Muahaha.

Guess this one helps me as well. I have been tettering on wiping the forum and starting new with imports of the database (for the most part it looked ok), or continually searching for this.

Thanks for the find, panda317.

Ok, I got the test forum to work, yippie!

Now, when I go to the real forum, I get a blank page.

Any ideas? Thanks for the help, btw.

Okay -

Changed the config file to:

Code: Select all

$dbhost = "localhost";

$dbname = "databasename";

$dbuser = "root";

$dbpasswd = "";
The apparent default name is 'root'. There is no password. When I open the forum I get a blank page. *shrugs*

CTCNetwork wrote: Hi,

Which version of EasyPHP did you install? As far as I am aware, 1.7 was the lat stable version (which is what I am running).

So, no need to worry about apache being up and running. . .

:D

Yup, 1-7 is running.

I do. I installed EasyPHP and I believe that it was included (?). Sorry, I am new to this.

On the E icon it shows that it was started. Version 4.0.15.

Okay, went through and changed all of the 127.0.0.1 and I still get the same error. When you say db details, what do you mean? I have only changed the $dbhost to (now) be localhost. Am I supposed to change other info? To what? I don't know the password or username other than what is in there from th...

EasyPHP and local server

I have been sitting here, looking through the support forum all day and come up with nothing. Hopefully I didn't overlook it. I have installed EasyPHP - no problems. I have downloaded the tables from MyPHPAdmin for our forum - no problems. I recreated the database name locally to keep in sync with t...

Finally! I have found this, I just don't understand it. A few of the users at my board have asked about this. Instead of it opening in the main window, open in a new window or the pop-up window itself.

Can somebody help me, please?
