Re: Updating 3.012 to 3.1.2 Access denied for user - Fixed

I just got hit with this bug too. My DB password started with a %, which seemed to have no adverse effect on anything apart from the update process using the automatic update package from 3.1.1 to 3.1.2. I have now changed my password, and the updater worked ok. Odd though that I didn't encounter th...

Re: phpBB.com Website Feedback

The main site's menu needs a bit of work since the release of 3.1. Clicking Community > Support Forums for instance takes you right into the 3.0 Support forum, which might confuse some people.

Re: Why am I having to reauthenticate to the ACP so much?

I didn't mean it was literally set as "my.domain.name" lol, I just didn't want to announce my site address to the world and all the spammers within ;-) community dot uttoxeter dot town My forum is on the subdomain community of the domain uttoxeter dot town. For the record, I never actually set that,...

Re: Why am I having to reauthenticate to the ACP so much?

It was a fresh install at 3.1.0 RC2, upgraded using auto upgrade package to RC3. I cleared the cache, but didn't try changing the cookie name. I've just changed my cookie name, and will see if it makes a difference. Thanks for the suggestion. p.s. If this does fix it, could we consider perhaps addin...

Re: Why am I having to reauthenticate to the ACP so much?

Not sure it's a cookie problem as it's not logging me off from the board itself, only the re-authentication to the ACP. The settings are as follows though:

Cookie domain: my.domain.name
Cookie name: phpbb3_ew5u8
Cookie path: /
Cookie secure: Disabled

Why am I having to reauthenticate to the ACP so much?

Hi all I'm trying out 3.1.0 RC3 and am busy setting up forums and such like, but it's kicking me out of the ACP and forcing me to re-enter my password seemingly every minute or two. I'm in and out of the ACP and the forum Index repeated to see what things look like as I set it up, and having to re-e...

I can live with the icon being clickable... I always thought it was odd that forum icons weren't clickable.

Re: [BETA] PBWoW 3 (WoW, Diablo, HotS & WildStar)

Thanks for your hard work mate, the style is epic :) One request though, is it possible to make it so that clicking on the whole square of a forum, including its image, acts the same as clicking on it's title? The title alone is quite a small target to aim for when you've got a big massive square co...

Re: Direct SQL Edit - Group Memberships

Hi guys Please forgive the shameless bump of this topic  Can anyone please advise me the best way to get the forum to recognise when somebody has been removed from a group through a manual database edit. I can do it manually by clearing the forum's cache, so I assume I need to do the same w...

Smileys with transparent background...

Hi all I've been trying to find a smiley pack that will look nice on a dark grey/black background, but it seems all the smileys I've come across so far (including the default set in phpBB) have been designed on a light/white background rather than transparent, and saved in gif format. They therefore...

Direct SQL Edit - Group Memberships

Hi guys I have a ColdFusion application that I've written to directly interface with the MySQL database of my phpBB board to alter things like group memberships, but I can't get it to work quite right. I add the appropriate entries to the phpbb_user_group table, and alter the group_id and user_colou...

Re: [Beta] phpBB Calendar 0.1.0 (alightner)

I've been hunting around all day for a basic calendar mod that will allow me to list the events of my clan on our forum. I've found there isn't a single calendar mod in the released mods section. The closest I've found is this one that has an explicit warning not to use it on "production or live boa...
