Re: Ian Smith passes away

Whatever his opinions and motives I am sure that the black Africans were better off under Smith than Mugabe. First Mugabe took the land from the white farmers and gave it to the local populace. They had had no experience of managing farms and quickly the highly productive farmland became worthless ...

Re: Your Opinion on Vista?

...getting back on-topic... Windows Vista has been and continues to be an undisputed disaster for Microsoft. Despite Redmond's draconian attempts to squash the XP bug once and for all, PC manufacturers like Dell have actually done a 180º, and gone back to offering XP-based computers. This is most li...

Re: Your Opinion on Vista?

Go read the requirements for Vista again. Vista only requires an 800Mhz Processor with 512RAM... ... For running Vista without Aero – which wouldn't be a fair comparison, given the raft of graphical bells and whistles OSX has had since Tiger (for nearly 3 years now!). And I guarantee you my compute...

Re: Your Opinion on Vista?

Vista's requirements are right on par, IMO, with where technology is currently sitting. In order to push technology forward, higher requirements need to be set. I remember when people were mad because Windows 95 required 4MB of RAM. I'm reminded when OS X fanboys were bashing Vista for it's require...

The Wii is most definitely a winner. Nintendo made a very smart choice by not placing their console in direct competition with the PS3/Xbox 360. Sony is the clear loser right now, at least in this latest phase of the console wars.

I dont think iPhone will be a huge success to be honest. Yes, it looks and feels amazing im sure, but when looking at technical specifictations, its not going to be up-to-date by the time it gets released, especially in the pro-mobile-user community.. Here is why: * No Office document capabilities ...

Yeah.. but Vista has more powerful graphic comparing MacOS X. Vista's way of doing graphical effects is bloated and extremely inefficient compared to Quartz on OSX. OSX has had such graphical effects for at least 2 versions now, it's obvious that Microsoft only introduced this feature to play catch...

I'll point out that price comparisons are virtually useless, at least when comparing the OSes. 1. They are not interchangagle. Unless you have an apple computer (Which in itself is more expensive) there is no point in buying the OS, as it'll be useless. 2. You don't factor in the cost of running th...

It's not like they can make Sadaam say anything...only when he releases information to the courts will the media go crazy. Yes, but the U.S. government wouldn't want the media covering that for a very good reason: because of what Saddam might say about his past business relationship with the...
