Do you mean phpBB for dummies? There is lots of books on php but no books on phpBB.

I would recommend studying:

I would center the banner on a background color that matches the red in the logo.

How do I change the default sort order for the memberlist? I want a decending list by total user posts (i.e., user with most posts on top). Thanks. <tr> <th height="25" class="thCornerL" nowrap="nowrap">#</th> <th class="thTop" nowrap="nowrap"> </th> <th class="thTop" nowrap="nowrap">Username<...

The profile link is already in the overall_header.tpl file. You have to login first to see it.

templates/subSilver*/overall_header.tpl

* Or the style you are using.

Output for user logged in?

What is the output for the user that is logged in? I tried:

Code: Select all

You are logged in as : {USERNAME}
To output You are logged in as : JohnSmith

{USERNAME} works in the profile_add_body.tpl but I can't get it to work in the index_body.tpl

I did all that, exactly as directed, but still no images in the gallery. I'm sure it's something I'm doing wrong. When I initially opened the webshell on my server, it already had an images/avatar/gallery folder. First I tried creating another folder inside of Gallery, then I tried uploading the im...

It's very easy to setup a new MySQL database when at your hosts control panel. Enter the following:
  • Name for database:
  • Username:
  • Password:
Then when you install phpBB or use phpMyAdmin you will be asked for those 3 items.
