search_wordmatch - delete?

my db size is 128mb and my host is starting to winge. can i delete this table and then change the search threshhold charater limit and rebuild the search? will that help? this table is 38mb at the mo is there any other way of slimming the db down? board size is: Total posts 80257 • Total topics 7828...

yeah i'm on a shared package. hmmm i was giving them the benefit of the doubt but they don't have the best track record. Looks like i'll have to just keep pestering them

will that affect the db problems i was having?
I've checked the db in phpmyadmin and the only tables are phpbb3 prefix'd ones.....nothing obvious to remove. Assuming that the db is ok, is there anything else that could be causing the crashing?

sql table needs repair

Recently i've been getting alot of these errors, the most common table that crashes seems to be sessions, but others have been playing up too. My db is currently at 117mb with 75000 posts and around 2500 users. Is this size about right? seems quite large. Is the size causing the problems? it started...

sure, the hack seems to have inserted code into almost all php files on the server affecting many sites i have hosted on a shared package. Its also inserted code into html and js files. after some research of martuz.cn it appears its a trojan which steals ftp logins and then spread itself onto the s...

i got done too

removed everything but config (but cleaned config.php), uploaded a new set of files. Job done. Also found a backdoor in the shape of gifimg.php in the images folders!

thanks guys, i'm away travelling at the mo so i have a few trusted people at home with ftp access. I think between the 3 of us this is how its become infected. I've changed ftp passwords and deleted all access apart from me for now, i've scanned my pc and all is ok, i'm having a check over the serve...
