phpBB bot

I want to create a "bot" that will look at posts in a certain forum and reply giving a random selection of items from a larger list someone posts. This will be part of an online card game. I doubt this exists in the form I want it, but is there any base code for this kind of thing to give me a start...

Re: [BETA] The wGEric Store MOD v0.2.3 (21 May 2007)

I have it set to send PMs when a user makes a purchase, but it is not sending them. It does send PMs correctly for donations though. Any idea what might be wrong? EDIT: I fixed it myself, but it was just kind of a shot in the dark... In store.php I changed if ( $store_config['store_pm_purchase'] == ...

Re: Word censors for invidual users

It's really basic. Add user_censors to phpbb_users. 0 for no filters and 1 for filters. In viewtopic.php, below: $message = $postrow[$i]['post_text']; Add this: $badwords = array("fuck", "shit", "damn", " ass ", "bitch"); $censors = array("****", "****", "****", " *** ", "*****"); if ($userdata['use...

Word censors for invidual users

I would like to offer language censors for users that they would be able to enable or disable in their profile. Does a mod to do this exist? I haven't been able to find one.

What causes "Invalid Session. Please resubmit the form.

One of my users keeps getting this error:

"Invalid Session. Please resubmit the form."

I have not been able to reproduce it myself. It has only happened since i installed 2.022. Is there something I can change to fix it?

Ok. The "upgrade" option is misleading.

Database error while upgrading

After I hit submit to update I get this error:

Unable to get list of smilies from the DB
1146: Table 'toadscas_forum.smiles' doesn't exist

SELECT code, smile_url
FROM smiles

The database should be toadscas_forum.phpbb_smiles, and the prefix is there. Why isn't the installer using the prefix?

Backup didn't include topics or users

I've run a forum for over two years, and tonight I had to restore it from a backup. The backup is over 100 mb, so it seemed to be a full backup, and the previous backup is a similar size. But after restoring it, it seems the POSTS are there, but there are no topics to bind those post together and th...

Restoring large database

I have a backup file that is 103mb and the normal restore feature isn't working. I tried gzipping it but that causes an error. I've tried the advice on the page below, but after editing the file it just says "no file was uploaded" and the database is not loaded. http://www.phpbb.com/kb/article.php?a...

The file that creates the mysql tables is broken. If anyone else is having this problem I got it working by entering: CREATE TABLE phpbb_logs ( log_id mediumint(10) NOT NULL auto_increment, mode VARCHAR(50) DEFAULT '', topic_id mediumint(10) DEFAULT '0', user_id mediumint(8) DEFAULT '0', username VA...

I installed it using EasyMod and then tried to run log_actions_db_update.php but it says:

phpBB : Critical Error

Could not connect to the database

I encounted no errors while installing. Everything looked successful.

EDIT: Using the posts above I was able to fix it. No help needed.

I installed it using EasyMod. Now it says to run log_actions_db_update.php, but when I do it's just a lot of php errors. It looks like files are missing, but the same files are missing, but i've confirmed that all the files from the download were uploaded. Here are the errors Warning: main(./extensi...
