Bandwidth and searching.

I tried searching for this, so please do not hurt me if these is an easy question.

Do searches eat bandwidth? If so, is there a way to limit them other than flood control? Like requiring a certain amount of information?

Thank you for your wisdom.

Hi there,

I am running Anubis and I have made some mods. But as far as design, really only the colors. Do you know how I might restore the "Mark this topic read" option? It has never been in my install and it is one phpBB function I miss.

Help adding members to a group?

I am reading the directions, and it says I will find a text box in the bottom right corner.

But I am not seeing that...

is this the screen I should be looking at?

Updates to any WHOIS query mods?

I was just wondering if anyone has written any mods that might replace either the arin or whois.sc lookup? So many of the newer engines work better, for example geobytes is good.

Thanks.

Partial DB restore? Is this possible?

Hi, I am going to be moving domains. I would like to retain Domain Old for a while, while Domain New gets up and running. I am not interested in restoring all the old posts and word lists, etc. to the new DB, but I would like to keep the users? Is that possible or will I actually have to delette eve...

Style deleted, but wants to open it? Really big mess up

In my configuration screen, for some reason a style that was removed is still showing.

I accidentally hit it and now I cannot change it back because it says it cannot find the config file...

Do I need to reupload that style?

I am truly baffled.

thanks.

I have the same error, but I am having trouble determining one step.

It is a fresh install of 2.0.20 but I do want to restore the old database.

Do I run the upgrade_to_latest before I restore the database?

Thanks!

How to remove "Login to check private messages"

Hi,

You know how at the top you have FAQ/Search, etc?

And if you are not logged in one of the choices is Login to check private messages?

I would like to remove that option.

I am stumped as to where to do that.

Thanks for your wisdom
