I post on a general sci-fi board sometimes, and we have some pretty good conversations because the admin sets it up so that any major story that the site publishes is also published as a post topic. So if the site has an article about a sci-fi show, a topic with the same title & text will be in the...

Hello everyone. A bunch of us met at a gaming website and found ourselves constantly talking about history, politics, current events, art, music, etc. So we spun off the gaming site and have formed a fun little community with members from all over the world. We are just getting started and still hav...

remote avatar isn't constrained by the max settings...???

Has anyone else run into a problem with the remote avatar not being constrained by the maximum settings in the Admin CP? Uploaded avatars are fine...but if a user remote links it,...it can sneak past the settings. (We've had a couple of HUUGE avatars as a result :? ) Could someone give me a tip wher...

Can I ask if this part: if ( ( $userdata['user_id'] == $poster_id && $is_auth['auth_edit'] ) || $is_auth['auth_mod'] ) { $temp_url = append_sid("posting.$phpEx?mode=editpost&" . POST_POST_URL . "=" . $postrow[$i]['post_id']); $edit_img = '<a href="' . $temp_url . '"><img src="' . $images['icon_edit'...

I'm stuck.

I'm going to be utterly shameless and post my viewtopic.php file.

My viewtopic.php file

My viewtopic_body.tpl file

If anyone can make sense of this you are a better man than I. (ok, but at least you know php and I don't! :lol: )

TYIA for any bones you can toss in my direction.

What I would do is debug that. Figure out if $poster_id is not set properly, and therefore it's failing the first part of the condition. If $poster_id is being set (and compared) properly, then check the auth settings. Ok, I'm sorry for the noobiness here. I solemly swear to help others once I have...

I've read through alot of this thread (admittadly not all of it, however) and I do not see my issue raised yet. I installed the Custom User Title mod yesterday and all went fine with the install. I'm using a slightly modded (and updated to 2.0.19) verison of Chronicles skin and well, now with the Cu...

Hey niksa,

You think this issue: http://www.phpbb.com/phpBB/viewtopic.ph ... 60#2015860 could have anything to do with the Chronicle updates we've been adding?

TY so much for any help. I feel like I'm abusing your kindness here. (I wish I could buy you a drink at least! :lol: )
