Lower Keep-Alive to 5 or even 2 secs (more than enough from broadband users) If that doesn't work...you could disable Keep-Alive alltogheter (keep in mind it will increase end users overhead though, page will seems to load slower) and also setup lingerd You could also stop using Apache...(for both p...

Can't we lower it by a query? Replacing: $sql = "SELECT user_wordcount FROM " . USERS_TABLE . " WHERE user_id='{$userdata['user_id']}'"; $result = $db->sql_query($sql); $words = $db->sql_fetchrow($result); $wordcount = $words['user_wordcount'] + count_words($post_message2); $sql = "UPDATE " . Is this the Zend Optimizer? If so, trow it away unless you need to run Zend encoded files, desable ALL the optimization pass in this case

If you're looking to improve speed, stick to MMCache, in fact, it was soo good that Zend hired its author to work for them :roll:

Memory is always fully used on linux (disk cache/buffer) To know the real ammount used, use "free -m" in SSH and look for "-/+ buffers/cache:" Example on my server total used free shared buffers cached Mem: 999 938 61 0 46 661 -/+ buffers/cache: 230 768 Swap: 996 250 745
