Nothing happened to my board either. After about 50 attempts they appeared to give up. Thanks phpbb!

I would still like to know about the .htaccess code though, if anyone knows.

Same thing started to happen to me yesterday (funny enough, same time as it happened for you...). I was able to resolve it by adding the below to .htaccess phpBB dir. I found it in some thread here. Use at own risk. RewriteEngine On RewriteCond %{QUERY_STRING} ^(.*)highlight=\%2527 [OR] RewriteCond...

I am experiencing several attempts to run this exploit on my forum, all from various different IPs. I am running the current version 2.0.19, and the latest version of PHP, so I understand that I'm safe from any vulnerabilities from it, right? In researching this issue, I saw a couple of different .h...

Hi TerraFrost, I wanted to let you know that the MOD is now working. I didn't do anything to it, I just tried again and vioala! Sorry I can't give you more information on that, but whatever it was, it was temporary. Probably the other person's started working too. A mystery, with a happy ending. Tha...

Thanks for your help TerraFrost, Your suggestion worked, and I am now able to test IP's without debug errors occuring. I tested a couple of open proxy IPs, and one was recognized as such. However I have encountered another problem. When I set Block Open Proxy Registrants to "Enabled", and ...

The changes necessary to add the registration ip to the validated 2.0.2 of the admin userlist can be found here: http://www.phpbb.com/phpBB/viewtopic.php?p=1558346#1558346 Yup, that did it. And Niko's MOD to get the zeros replaced worked perfectly too. Thanks for a great MOD. I have rated it Excell...

Thanks for your help, TerraFrost. I'm trying to understand all this so that I can better explain it and try to get it to work. I appreciate your patience. It is indeed failing. Anyway, like I said, try to do what the 302 error message said. Even though that wasn't the error you recieved both of them...

If you recieve error 302 messages, the MOD will display the following: No, I haven't see that one, just the 301 and 404 errors in the Sample HTTP Request 2 area. As for how you'll know if it's not working - you won't get a timeout error for one I'm not getting a timeout error, per se, but it seems ...

This is exactly what I've wanted to do. Has anyone tried this, does it work, and if so, could you post more detailed instructions on how to accomplish this? Thanks, C Really nice MOD! Perhaps a more comprehensive way or more of a "teaser" version would be to show guests one thing, i.e. &q...

I just downloaded this and used EM to install it, and when I test it, it seems to always time out. Also, I always get an error in the Debug info area under Sample HTTP Request 2. It's usually either 301 Moved Permanently or 400 Bad Request Is there something I need to configure specially? How do I k...

Does this MOD only restrict proxies on registration, or will it work to also restrict subsequent posting and/or browsing of the forum?

If not, can it be made to do so, or does anyone know of a way to achieve that?

TIA

I've read through most of this of thread, but I have a few quick questions I'm unclear about before I install it, if someone could be kind enough to answer them for me... 1. Where exactly does the IP appear on the site? 2. Is it visible to everyone, or just Administrators and/or moderators? 3. If it...

It removed it completely, and now there's nothing there. I don't know what it was supposed to do, but now the page starts with Search Phrases at the very top. Is that what's supposed to be there? Or is something missing?
