Re: Posting Problem!!

Re: Posting Problem!!

If the word table is crashed, it should not prevent the post... just the indexing. Did you try doing the repair with USE_FRM ? I don't see a use_frm table... Update: Some of the posts are coming through... except a day or two later. Which table should I try to repair?? P.S. hoping I can fix this so...

Re: More help please! Changing User's Post Count

I accessed phpMyAdmin.

I have the right username and password.

I changed the post count.

But before I did all that, right when I logged into phpMyAdmin, the board went down to the error.

Would you suggest uploading a new config.php?

Re: More help please! Changing User's Post Count

My bad. He didn't change the password. I don't understand. Why is that when I entered the web management software ---> then went into mySQL and then phpMyAdmin (made NO changes) that then the error occurred? I don't understand. :| I'm also getting some pretty angry emails/msgs from members who want ...

Re: More help please! Changing User's Post Count

The board is completely down.

I can get into phpMyAdmin just fine. It's possible that it is the password cause he did change it.

Re: More help please! Changing User's Post Count

Okay apparently he has NONE of his phpBB files on his computer. The owner of the site has no experience with this stuff whatsoever and the site has been around since 2001, so this doesn't surprise me. Blah, help please? I still don't see why I would get this database error. All the files are uploade...

Re: Changing User's Post Count

More help please. It's been a really long time since I've used phpBB.. about 5 years. I've logged into the cpanel (one of those web management softwares) and went into phpmyadmin, and as soon as I did that, (and did nothing more!) I get that horrible error: phpBB : Critical Error Could not connect t...

Re: Changing User's Post Count

We're not really concerned with getting all his deleted posts back to his username. This is a very large board (close to half a million posts, 15k users), and we have quite a few guest posts, so wouldn't be accurate. But thanks!

More help please! Changing User's Post Count

Not my board, but a board I used to admin at. We had a user with over 25k posts but one of the admins accidentally deleted his account a while back. He's back on a new account but wants his post count back. Now seeing how I haven't used phpBB in a few years, I can't remember how to do this. Can some...
