Thanks--That did the trick. I am a global moderator as well as admin and the global moderator is where it was hidden. Thank you for pointing me in the right direction. It took a little time but now understand the usefulness of the masks.

Actually Both. Sorry I was not so clear about it. I did however notice that the global moderator was not approved for it so I changed it and all seems to work now...

After upgrading it seems that each time someone posts, even me - admin, now has to moderate and approve topics and posts. Is there a way to turn this off?

It's your board you can do whatever you like to it. However, I'd suggest just trying what I said: /includes/hooks/hook_filter.php is not a standard phpBB file try removing that file, completing the update, and then putting the file back. Thank you, ran without flaw. Thank you again! William
