Re: vBulletin 3.8.4 to PhpBB3.1

I have taken a try to convert from vB 3.8.5. There are 57485 users and 321956 posts in my forum. On the step 5 of processing last statements, there are error: General Error SQL ERROR [ mysqli ] Column 'forum_id' cannot be null [1048] SQL INSERT INTO phpbb_log (log_id, log_type, user_id, forum_id, to...

A new version of the converter is now ready to test.
You can download it from there:
https://github.com/gouarfig/vb3-to-phpB ... 0.0.15.4.5
Is this version of 1.0.0.15.4.5 the latest version?
Thanks a lot to Fred for the great work for the old vbulletin users!

FredQ wrote:Yes, I do have issues with default character encoding. This is a nightmare. There are hundreds of combinations (database encoding <-> server encoding <-> client encoding <-> string encoding). I'll try to sort that out.
It's really a big problem for the forum not used the default encoding. :evil:

Re: How to convert from vBulletin 3.x.x?

The conversion from vBulletin to phpBB 3.0, then an upgrade to 3.1 doesn't work all the time. I'm working on a converter for vBulletin 3.7/3.8 to phpBB 3.1.12. I need it for my board, and I'm not happy with the actual converter. vBulletin 3.7 has a bit more stuff to be converted than what the actua...

Re: How to convert from vBulletin 3.x.x?

Hi, as far as I am aware there are no conversion tools to 3.1, so yes, I'd convert it to 3.0.x and then update to 3.1. The update tool may not convert to 3.0.12 (which is the latest version), but that doesn't matter. Say, if it converted to 3.0.10, you can run the conversion and then update the boa...

Re: Strict Standards help

Oleg wrote:Try this.

In startup.php find:

phpBB/includes/startup.php:error_reporting(E_ALL & ~E_NOTICE & ~E_DEPRECATED);

replace with:

error_reporting(E_ALL & ~E_NOTICE & ~E_DEPRECATED & ~E_STRICT);
Thanks! But I can't found the file of startup.php in the folder of includes. I'm using phpBB 3.0.5.
