I just found a fun bit of logic that will help you :wink:

Code: Select all

	$template->set_filenames(array(
		'body' => '../my_tpl.tpl')
	);
This will look for the template inside the /Templates/ directory instead of /Templates/Template/ :)

edit: $template->assign_var_from_handle() would do a nice job here :)

If you plan on using file_get_contents() you will have to add this code to functions.php if you plan on releasing your mod due to the version of php file_get_contents() was added to the php language being higher than the version php was written for. if (! function_exists('file_get_contents') ) { fun...

and if you're including a template file... $template->set_filenames(array( 'handle' => 'template_body.tpl') ); $template->assign_var_from_handle('VAR_NAME', 'handle'); And {VAR_NAME} will contain the template 'template_body.tpl' with all normal template parsing done, A example of this is the polls i...

salting achieves nothing, the hacker still has to to guess password when the password is password. it makes no difference. hashes are already impossible to crack You're living in the past man http://md5.rednoize.com/ Tell me hashes are impossible to crack now, There are librarys of hashs that match...

I have followed a couple users advice here and have made the solution a touch easier and still secure (mostly). In these admin statistics files: admin/admin_edit_module.php admin/admin_statistics.php admin/admin_stats_config.php admin/admin_stats_lang.php admin/admin_mod_package.php Locate define('...

However this isnt a matter of guessing, its a matter of a hacker comprimising your userbase by cracking their md5 hashs in the event that your forum may get hacked. The problem with people choosing insecure passwords will always be there unless we validate their password beforehand, of all the top f...

How long mod validation takes depends on a few things including how many are already in line, the size and complexity of your mod & the amount of free time mod team members have avaliable to them.

because with the unix timestamp added, the string will always be unique even if its the same password therefore making it harder to crack.
