Re: Gzip enabled & RokBridge

Use mod_deflate from now on as mod_gzip is no longer included in any apache install now.

And the average user here is suppose to know that and know what program to use then? It should be plain text. No reason it can't be done chinese or not. I use german and polish but I still manage to save text files in plain text and not encoded with something that the average person can't use or rea...

PSpad opened it perfectly. That must be a wincraps program. Nothing in linux open it correctly so it isn't a text file. However I did mange to get OOwriter to open it but it still wasn't right so I had to manually edit it until it worked correctly as a true text file which it should have been from ...

OK I found the spot. In attach_mod/posting_attachments.php, all new files get chmodded to 0666 (which meand reas and write permissions for everybody). I just changed it to 0640 which is what I want (-rw-r-----), and things seem to be working OK. Now the next step is to mod the system to store the f...

Nice add-on but a real pain to install. You should make this EasyMOD compatible.

The original phpBB2 code.

This mod fixes it. But there should NOT have been a mod needed for this.

This is strickly the developers fault for breaking the RFC on SMTP.

I know it isn't the job of the modder's but still. This code error is simply unforgivable. It violates the bloody RFC on SMTP.

I wondered why the phpBB team never coded this correctly in the first place. They should have made a default configuration for this in the stmp section for this. In any case I had fixed mine a long time ago when I noticed this bit of code is incorrect and it DOES violate the sendmail RFC for EHLO. O...

Then the search should never say there are more pages. It should simply default to 1 page if this is the case because it gives a false sense there are locations on the forum that DO pertain to the search.

Is there something wrong with the search here ?

I can do a search here but I can never get more then 25 searches even though it will say there are X pages, and when I click on the link 'next' it will come back saying "No topics or posts met your search criteria".

Does that mean you will do this soon? I am sure it will benifit everyone from it. I can also arrange so that you can login and edit the files if needed.
