Re: Unable to login as admin

Well, it seems that the discussion is being focused on having just one or multiple Q&A questions. The argument pro "just one" is to avoid the extra work in changing the whole question set once cracked. But this alternative gives the human (don't forget, there is a human trying to find the correct an...

Re: Unable to login as admin

Yes, in this forum I have 16 different questions that (I think) only a human could answer. I think it's a better and disuasive approach since when someone fails in answering a new question arises, thus discouraging the human google search. And yes, what I've done is to edit each of them introducing ...

Re: Unable to login as admin

After cleaning cookies everything is working, problem solved. I apologize for asking such a silly question . Supplemental information. In the last two weeks I've been suffering the mass-attack of spambots having cracked my non-trivial Q&A list in two forums resulting in dozens of new users (mo...

Unable to login as admin

Hello everybody, After an spambot invasion who cracked my Q&A list I decided to upgrade from 3.2.0 to 3.2.7 and introduce changes in this list. The upgrade process was successful (both files & database) but when I try to login as admin I receive the following error message: "The submitted form was i...

Re: Cannot access v3.2.2 board Error 403

For your information, I've received a message from hosting provider tech support admitting that the issue is related to "Yes, the ModSecurity rules were recently updated, those resulting in the 403/404 error. " as EA117 suggested ;)

They are working on it at level 2.

Re: Cannot access v3.2.2 board Error 403

Oh. I'm reading this topic now after having been searching for hours and posted my own one at https://www.phpbb.com/community/viewtopic.php?f=556&t=2515096 This is exactly the same problem I'm experiencing and I agree with splendid post from EA117. I should add something, I manage two different foru...

It helped, battye, it did. That's exactly what I was looking for  .

I've upgraded to 2.0.19 (what a pain upgrading also styles, languages, etc) and applied the MOD. It worked fine.

Thank you very much.

Filtering topics & replies

Hello, I administer a phpBB 2.0.17 forum which has some "open" subforums. I mean forums where publishing new topics or replying to them is allowed to guests, and I'd like to keep this openness. In the last weeks, a couple of robots are coming daily to post porno & software related ads. Their IP chan...
