what do i have to do to show categories in bold but not italic nice mod anyways! Unfortunately , there is no way to format OPTGROUP. Its always bold italic. Admin Panel > Forum Permissions , set delete to MOD , or ADMIN if you dont want moderators deleting them either.

top-free-forums is a free forum host , as you cannot alter or access any files on the server , theres no support that would be of value here.

Also , they have a pretty bad track record for connectivity. I'd suggest getting yourself some decent hosting for your forum.

In the forums permissions , make sure that POST and REPLY are also set to Admin or Mod , if you only set the VIEW permission , spambots WILL find a way to pass information to that forum, especially if the forum id is a single digit number

leaving the columns there wont do any harm but if you insist on removing them, the reverse sql would be
