Re: Offical phpbb.com mobile app

oddly enough, the stock phpbb notification system does exactly that. :D Yes, I know! But was initially sucked-in to the idea of receiving 'immediate' notifications going ding-dong-buzz-dang-whoop etc - new smartphone, new toy - like a baby's noisy toy. The Novelty eventually wore off. It sta...

Re: Offical phpbb.com mobile app

Nevertheless : a phpBB-app will most likely not be used very frequently, theres no reward in it. I dont think its worthwhile developing, I dont see the problem with just bookmarking the forum URL, and using the mobile browser? Keep it minimised and refresh occasionally. Or activating mobile styles?...

Re: Anonymous user login to ACP on Admin log?

my 3.0.4 installation, is not modded and has been stable for months. I had a recent malware infection on my main website, but was fully repaired including all affected phpbb files with clean reinstalls etc - and sql databases etc were independently verified as clear. The relevant log entries below, ...

Anonymous user login to ACP on Admin log?

I tried a search on the forums but couldn't find one that was related.
On an ACP login I found the generic 'Anonymous' User ID had logged into the ACP with me at the same time, according to the admin log. How could this have happened?

Re: SQL Error after updating 3.0.0 to 3.0.2

OK. Then I will have to run a fresh full install of 3.0.2 over the top of whatever version is in there and see if that updates it properly.

Re: screwed up SQL tables in updating 3.0 - 3.0.2

I dont recall the database update happening, was several hours ago. During the update there was a long list of files reported as not being able to be merged, and I chose the option which said to use the new files. It completed the update and said it was successful, it was green. When I went to the I...

screwed up SQL tables in updating 3.0 - 3.0.2

I screwed up badly trying to update from 3.0.1 to 3.0.2 - I've got SQL errors on viewing posts, topics, that cannot be fixed by refreshing the php files, and I suspect that my numerous attempts to do this, have resulted in mixed-up corrupted versions between 3.0.0 and 3.0.2. The User Database seems ...

Re: SQL Error after updating 3.0.0 to 3.0.2

Didn't work Jim :( Another set of SQL errors - and I still can't login to the ACP, to check which version of phpBB its reporting, or renable the board. the admin toolkit "backdoor" is still in development for v3 isnt it? I did two backups, one of the 3.0.0 just before I ran the updater, then one of ...

Re: SQL Error after updating 3.0.0 to 3.0.2

Note that I only mean to renew the files of your board! Don't install phpBB again! OK rain - Just ftp-copy over unpacked 3.0.2 files/folders into the host server root /forum (dont upload the "install" folder) But, First Make copy of the existing /forum directory, elsewhere on web host-server, and a...

Re: SQL Error after updating 3.0.0 to 3.0.2

I didnt have any MODS to lose! I wanted to add some mods, as I hadnt done anything to the boards since I upgraded from 2 to 3 way-back-when. and when I checked my version in the ACP panel - it was 3.0.0 - so I thought, before I do any Mods - I really should update to the latest 3.0.2 first :) So off...

Re: SQL Error after updating 3.0.0 to 3.0.2

after endless login looping, and replacing the whole includes folder, it finally let me in to the index - but still same SQL errors on trying to read posts/forums, and still looping on the ACP login.

I think my next best bet, might be a clean install of 3.0.2 and try to import ?
