You limited by operating system constraints.

Here's the MySQL reference on the appropriate type (type is text): http://www.mysql.com/doc/B/L/BLOB.html

Effectively there really isn't a limit as I can't think of anyone writing a post that was so long to fill even a small servers memory capacity ;)

Oops just found a problem with the template.

If a user clicks on the jump to first new post icon (the page at the left of a topic) should it exist (only if there are new posts in a topic) it logs them out.

Also using the jumpbox apparently logs the user out as well.

Would it be possible to get the PSD of the logo graphics? I would love to get my hands on that scroll.

Second question is what font did you use for the Chronicles logo?

BTW I absolutely love this template as it saves me from having to build something very similar :)

No it isn't with the software exactly. It's with this messed up notion of Daylight Savings time (or whatever other countries call it). phpBB doesn't understand the notion.

BTB what exactly is GMT called during this messed up 1/2 year? GDT (Greenwich Daylight Time)?

To do the install... On the command line: With RedHat 7.2's disc 1 in the drive and mounted do this: $ dir /mnt/cdrom/RedHat/RPMS/ | grep php You should see a list of packages that are all related in some way to php. You need to then install the php base package and the php-mysql packages: $ su - pa...

You have to explicetly assign the special rank to people. There isn't a "moderators" group gets this rank "admins" group gets this rank thing.

Kept all your settings? If you've uninstalled MySQL from your Linux machine like you said it may still have the configuration DB's sitting around as the package management systems don't delete data files created by the packages. If it's an RPM based machine check and see if /var/lib/mysql is still h...

The System Database option should be left as none. It's designed for a shared database. As for your comments on the system that you will be running this entire thing from. Is it a Windows server? If so, why do you say it would take a lot of tweaking to get MySQL to run on it? It's a very easy instal...

One other thing that I forgot to mention. 9 times out of 10 there isn't a username and password attached to an MDB. If you actually have one attached to it, I recomend that you remove it. Access has big issues with high activity and having a username/password combination on it is going to slow it do...

by 'define' the file what is it exactly that you mean?? Talk me through it, please? When creating an MS Access DSN there is frame below the DSN name and description titled Database. If inside this frame it only says: Database: Then you haven't selected (or defined) your database. Press the S elect ...

Do you have access to the MySQL database from a shell account? If you do then you can dump the database directly to files, tar-gzip them and move them over to the new host and then re-insert them. MySQL backup from the shell (you'll be wanting msyqldump) If you don't have a shell account on the mach...

Get rid of the User and File DSN's and only use a System DSN. The other two are supposed to be unaccessible to the IUSR_<yourmachinename> account which runs IIS. That should help clear up the problem. Oh and don't forget to define the file that is being accessed by the Access DB driver. So many peop...

IIRC the UID have to be Unique IDentifiers so that they can be translated on page display properly. I don't exactly remember (paul's?) method but I'm fairly confident that as long as you properly pair up "fictitious" ID's in the post everything will work correctly.
