User unsubscribe from newsletter

I been trying to look, but had no luck so far.
But is there a way so the user can select if they want to receive emails from the forum? I.e. an unsubscribe option?

i done the version update last time with telnet but because im on a new server it only used SSH connection and i dont know the command line to execute this patch file.

Thats cool, but what I mean is. When a post/topic is edited, I want a note sayin 'who' edited automatically inserted under the signature of that post.

all it should say is the following "last edited 19th sept 2005 at 01.34am by jazz" something that simple.
