Hey, I know in the installation guide it says to use a similar php file when upgrading before, but I dont know where or what that is. I am trying to beta test phpBB3 and want to import all my old forums data such as forums, posts, members... can anyone please advise me on how to do this, I have sear...

hmmm I wouldnt imagine so... as you have to define all your pages and with a forum thats constantly changing this would be impossible.. perhaps for static pages such as rules etc maybe but still Im not sure.

nah its always the same, the only time I would read it is if it wasnt a mainstream project and so mightnt have had so much testing as the larger trusted ones would.

just a suggestion for this package, the ZIP it creates is there anyway of making its name include the date of backup, for example:

sql_backup_260506.zip

Would be 26th May 2006. I just think this would allow for better archieving and also sorting :)

if you are on a shared host try going to http://phpmyadmin.yourdomain.com then login with the details your host provided you, but only touch this if you know what you are doing.. can you access phpmyadmin like that on your server?
