Latest Problem

Looks like I spoke too soon. When I attempt to turn on descriptions from within the ACP (or make any other changes), none of my changes are written. I click submit and then the changes default right back to where they were (with descriptions still turned off). What's wrong and how do I fix this? Brian

Having laid it out in this manner, I was able to see the dual instances of Post_text and I did sucessfully remove them. Then, having solved that problem, I ran into this: DEBUG MODE SQL Error : 1054 Unknown column 'f.auth_desc' in 'field list' SELECT f.auth_desc, f.auth_moddesc FROM phpbb_forums f W...

Okay, he is that section of code with the changes incorporated: // mod topic description: add to query $sql = "SELECT t.*, u.username, u.user_id, u2.username as user2, u2.user_id as id2, p.post_time, p.post_username, pt.bbcode_uid, pt.* FROM " . Well, it was a gallant attempt but trying to edit the file manually didn't work. Here is the code in question from my viewforum.php file before trying to add your code: // // All announcement data, this keeps announcements // on each viewforum page ... // $sql = "SELECT t.*, u.username, u.user_id, u...

That's very kind of you Swizec. Let me see what I can do and if I can't do it, I'll take you up on your offer.

Kind regards,

Brian

Can't say exactly which mod is at fault, but change that query so it reads something like so Unfortunately, that didn't work. It produced the following error: Parse error: parse error, unexpected T_STRING in /home/Brian/public_html/BKUP3/viewforum.php on line 457 I don't know anything about this, b...

I could use some help. Just installed this mod with EasyMod 0.30, without errors, but when I try to access any of the forums, the following error message is returned: Could not obtain topic information DEBUG MODE SQL Error : 1066 Not unique table/alias: 'pt' SELECT t.*, u.username, u.user_id, u2.use...

Retaining Date from Birthday Mod

I just installed this on a copy of a heavily-mod'd forum and got it to work with some customizations to the installation mod (to accommodate the mods that are already installed). I had to enter the SQL commands via PhpMyAdmin and noticed that the field "user_birthday" is the same as it is for the Bi...

I'm having a small problem with this mod.

I installed this mod manually and it appears to be working except the group moderators are not being listed under the group owner after being added, although entries are being written to the database.

What did I do wrong?

Thanks much,

Brian

Lost Style's Default Color on 'Last Post' Column Only!

I've been in the process of rebuilding my PhpBB forum files and, along the way, I lost my style template default color in the last column of viewtopics where it says "Last Post." Apparently it is defaulting to the color for subSilver (I am using SoftBlue v.1). Can anyone tell me how this might have ...

Yes, thank you. It works perfectly now .

You're right, that was very strange--I don't really know what happened or how that was missed.

I don't see anything in the install instructions that requires modification to the template.php file.

What do I need to do?
