Re: [BETA] Dicemod

Try it without the parenthesis inside the dice tags, in other words: 10d12-10 instead of (10d12)-10
and see what happens.

Re: [BETA] Dicemod

So MalkContent, You have tested the current dicemod with 3.0.9 and/or 3.0.10 and it works? I've been holding off installing it because I thought from the bugs reported here that it was still 'iffy' for the newer versions of phpbb. If you're telling me its safe and it works, I'll talk to my 'tech' ab...

Re: [BETA] Dicemod

How did you install it? It doesn't 'Automod' and I don't find any 'instructions'!
I tried renaming it from .7z to .zip but that only created an error upon trying to 'upload' in Automod.

Re: [BETA] Dicemod

So, I'm not a coder, I am hesitant about even adding a AutoMod change. Can someone tell me if the stock, 'out of the box' dicemod will work right off if installed on a 3.0.9 phpbb installation? THe one I downloaded but have yet to dredge up the courage to install is .0.7.2 I'm heartened to see conve...

Re: security_question

After 31 pages, I'm almost CODE blind! BUT, my host DID have a control panel that let me get to the database, and run the myphpadmin thing. I inserted the two lines. Then I copied all six modded files, I deleted the install directory tried to register and it asked! I logged in as admin, edited the q...

Re: security_question

Go to your php myadmin. Most likely http://www.yoursitename.com/forum/myadmin Enter your SQL user name and password. Select your database from the drop down menu on the left. Then just click the SQL tab. Then you will get an empty SQL query window. Cut and paste INSERT INTO phpbb_config (config_nam...

Re: [ALPHA] Dice MOD

This is from the v2 die roller, not this new mod for the v3 phpbb installation, but you'll get the idea: move Silent Roll Dice Roll: Original Roll String: 1d20+4 20-Sided Dice Results: (10) + 4 (Total = 14) _________________ Phezz shoots at the same stormtrooper as Phion. Shoot! Dice Roll: Original ...

Re: [ALPHA] Dice MOD

I've been following this discussion for some time. I run a Play-by-post RPG website and won't upgrade to phpbb v3 until I have a decent die roller to replace what I already have working in my phpbb v2 installation!

Re: [RC1] Dice MOD

I'm rewriting this MOD now that 3.0.0 is out. I've improved the code to better integrate with the existing systems, and to mean less overall edits. SOUNDS GREAT! I also will be waiting patiently for your release of this mod before I move my board to the new v3 Thank you! John http://www.whidbeygame...

Re: [BETA] Dice BBCode Version 0.2.4

Programming is painful for me, so my tale of woe is my way of asking for assistance: I probably installed phpBB because the Dice Mod was available and working. That was over a year ago, version .21. Someone else installed it for me, he did the phpBB, EasyMod, MultiBBcode, and Dice mod. Has worked fo...

Re: [RC1] Registration Auth Code (RAC)

Well, it seems to be working, so for someone to register they would have to know the code. The only way to "crack" this would be to ask you for the code and then change a bot script to enter the code. If that happens, just change the code. The whole point of this MOD is that once you have it instal...

Re: [RC1] Registration Auth Code (RAC)

Well, I'm not much of a programmer, so I let Easy Mod install the RAC mod in my board (http://www.whidbeygamers.net) but I figured it was no big deal if I just left the code at qwerty12345 ! I also neglected to put any 'hint' on where a new signup could GET said code, and here is what the situation...
