Re: Cannot change default style

If you are looking to just change what style is the "default" for people that haven't logged in then you need to change the style for the anonymous user. If you force the style then it changes for the anonymous user and all your existing users.

Clearing "notify me when a reply is posted" per user

Sometimes a users email account gets deleted or fills up it's quota on a topic that is still active. Short of editing every single message by that user in a thread is there anyway to clear the "notify me when a reply is posted" just for that user? Even if it's for every single topic that the user ha...

Smartfeed on PHP5

Just wanted to mention that it seems that Smartfeed requires "register_long_arrays = On" in your php.ini when using PHP5. By default this is turned off.

No, I don't want to have to specify the user. I want something like the "Delete User MOD" http://www.phpbb.com/phpBB/viewtopic.php?t=404113 that also deletes the deleted users posts and bans their email address.

How about making this delete all the users posts and adding their email address to the ban list when deleting them?

SPAM deleting mod

I've got several mods in place to stop spam bots but sometimes it looks like "people" post spam. I'd like a mod that allowed moderators/admins to delete a post, delete the user that created the post, and ban the email address used to register the account all in a single(with conformation) button pre...

So I just need to add class="post" to the input fields to allow dark colored versions? Yep I think that was all. As for your enhancement to add a minimum number of posts, how can you ensure a minimum number of posts for a topic if they do not exist? Or does it show only topics with a minimum number...

smartfeed_url_body.tpl is of course based on the subSilver theme but it should work fine for any theme, because it doesn't carry any code that displays specific colors. It does carry certain tag attributes like class="row2" and class="gen" that assume your theme has an underlying and attached casca...

Considering the first line uses the word API I'd say I meant API ;) Said API could then be used to form the basis of cross site syndication or be used inhouse. Well I wasn't disagreeing with the use of API, just syndication. To myself and I'm sure a lot of other people when I hear the word syndicat...

By syndication, we are kind of looking for something along the lines of the old Topics Anywhere which was removed from the MOD Database for security reasons. Not farmilar with the Topics Anywhere mod but from the sound of it and the mentions of phpbbfetchall it sounds like your looking for a php-ba...

Comeon! Someone pick up the syndication mod! I want to be able to feed my news items onto a webpage, just like Invision can I'm doing this on my board already. I just use a slightly custom version of the smartfeed rss/atom mod. http://www.phpbb.com/phpBB/viewtopic.php?t=373726&start=150#2285584 I'l...

Because RSS wasn't designed to be a phpBB to phpBB exporting/importing tool. It's designed for content syndication. Take a look at the index page of one of my sites, http://osdev.org/ for an example of what I consider good use of phpBB RSS. The problem with what you want to do is that if you are rea...

Re: Displaying Phpbb via RSS in Another PhpBB Forum

I have tried every RSS mod available and no matter what I cannot get rid of HTML tags in posts imported from another phpBB forum into my forum. My install of phpbb is up to date and I can import any RSS feed out there into my forums, but for the life of me I cannot figure out why I cannot import an...

Re: Problems

I don't see the RSS image anywhere. It was uploaded to my server. At what point is that image used? If you mean the little "xml" graphic, that question has been answered already(on the same page you posted your questions). The short answer is that it's not used. If you are asking about SMARTFEED_FE...

Customized version of smartfeed

I've got a custom version of smartfeed 1.0.5. It includes my earlier additions of a bug fix and an option to include only the first post of topics and a new feature that allows a required minimum number of posts to be specified. The new feature only takes effect if all the other options don't cause ...
