PHPBB guest & session logging

Does anyone know about a possible mod to log user's and guests that go to my board including an ip address? I tried searching around and couldn't find much.

Okay then, I removed Guest SID's. What will it take for my page rank to exceed 0? Time, more content?

PHPBB Search Engine Friendliness

My forum on search engine is not very well liked by search engines so far. I was wondering what should be done in order to increase my page rank. So far all I have done is installed a mod for meta descriptions, but it displays the same thing every where. Obviously I'm going to need these things: 1. ...

I don't know why everyone loves DOS so much. I think its because thats what they originally learned on. DOS really isn't very powerful. We still have BASH and dozens of other good cli shells, which imo are excellent.

Re: Very interesting article about WGA

Thank god I don't use windows :) What gives them the right to force that all users install every update there is? It's their product so they can pretty much do what they want. As for the question of linux. Start with a live CD (They run completely off the cd - no install necessary) like Slax or Arch...

It's not hard to believe that not many people have a 64M GPU Graphics Card. I don't have one, and I just built my computer last year. Some just don't want to spend money on expensive graphics... But try going out and buying a preassembled computer $800+ without at least a 64MB or even 128MB. You wi...

But as with everything as more software converts to the Mac format not everyone will follow these guidelines. Well - I could be wrong now, I'm going to ask my Mac Guru - the only code a programmer could see would be what Mac gave them, which wasn't much. It essentially came down to: xyzScreen - dis...

Why in the world would you use a windows emulator? Just use native OSX apps. People are too worried about 'compatibility'. Screw that, just use native apps.

Actually, I had already read that. However, most of the suggestions included link exchange, advertising, or friends. Was wondering if anyone had any luck with anything else :)

I disagree. I think Vista is going to be extremely slow, and much less efficient. Mac OSX is based on BSD, which is known for stability, speed, and security. I'd be surprised to see Vista present something new besides graphics and cosmetic stuff. I really don't want to get into a mac rant here, but...

I disagree. I think Vista is going to be extremely slow, and much less efficient. It already is. Unless a miracle happens in Microsoft, Vista might be the slowest and most inefficient OS ever made. The fact that they are putting so much stress on their graphics tells me that it isn't going to be wo...

Promoting a forum

I've recently started my forum (about 1 week ago), basically right now I am having trouble promoting my forum. Right now there are about 16 members, all of them are friends and friends of friends. I've tried contacting several relevent sites for a link exchange program, but no responses. I've tried ...
