Config.php and database connection issue

I have recently switched to a new Web host. The board was previously hosted on a linux box and is now on a Windows box that supports php. I created a new MySQL database and edited the config.php file. However, I am unable to connect to the database when I navigate to the site. Here is the informatio...

Actually, I have a slightly different take on this...I don't have an answer to your question. My question is this: Can I have two separate databases in the same domain (same host) share a user table? I want to integrate phpbb with mamboserver, but the component that they coded doesn't work very well...

Okay DO THIS FIRST: BACKUP YOUR overall_header.tpl FILE. Then, try this code. I am a bit tired, so you might have to tweak what I did to play with it. If it doesn't work, just reupload your BACKED UP copy of the file. <table width="100%" cellspacing="0" cellpadding="10"...

You're going to have to scroll to the logo area of the overall_header.tpl file in your template and add a row to the code if you want your logon icons to be on another row below your logo. A row is added by doing this <tr><td>(logo)</td></tr> Even simpler, open up Paint, Paint Shop Pro, or Photoshop...

You're either going to have to resize your banner and then upload again or put the logon, etc buttons on another row in the table. THE FOLLOWING IS -EXAMPLE- CODE. USE AS REFERENCE. <table> <tr> <td>(logo)</td> </tr> <tr> <td>(buttons)</td> </tr> </table> Make sure to include any <span> </span> that...

Thanks. Worked perfectly. :)

This is what happens when you mess with the user's table by cleaning it up manually. I thought I was increasing the security of my forum. Little did I know.

Thanks, again!

Not same as other Reg Prob: User Name Exists When it Doesn't

http://www.opentome.org/forum These forums have been up for almost two years now, and I haven't had this problem before. When a new user attempts to register this is what happens. 1) User clicks on "I am 13 or over" link 2) Error comes up that says user name already exists Since the person...

backup of intact smilies table

I did some modifications to my smilies table in the past and because of that my stats have been messed up since then. Could someone please pm me or e-mail me a backup of their unmodified smilies table? I'm a bit tired now, so if you could recommend another method, that would be welcome too.

Thanks!

I think that someone needs to put a sticky here for this login problem. I've read this same problem about twenty times in the last two days. Read each others' threads and the kb.

Can you post the info from your config.php file here (without the password, of course)?

Maybe you should think of enabling admin account verification then for your forum. It's in the admin panel under the configuration.

Two questions: are you sure that you have the db running? Second, you list two different user names in your two versions of your config.php file. Is that important, or just semantics?
