Re: help with a php.ini file

It would be helpful to me if someone would post an 'optimal' pp.ini file setting for phpbb, for example, what is the ideal mempry_limit, what is the best setting for register_globals, etc.

Re: Topic SiteMap

You said: -------------------------------------------------- Paths don't match We've detected that you submitted your Sitemap using a URL path that doesn't include the www prefix (for instance, http://example.com/sitemap.xml). However, the URLs listed inside your Sitemap do use the www prefix (for i...

Re: How do I start the program?

Make sure you upload the "sitemap.php" file into the handicappedpet.net/helppets folder.

I am sure.

How do I start the program?

I have installed the program on v 3.0.4, cleared the cache, and am now looking for the actual sitemap to submit to Google. Can you tell me if there is something I need to do to get the program to create the sitemap and the URL of the completed sitemap? I would have suspected that browsing to the url...

Re: Description Tag Mod

I was going to just give up- your 9000 posts suggest that you've been here before and that my bafflement around your answer would come clear if I only spent years studying and working with the program... as you obviously have. ...but in any case, no harm in asking. When I viewing a page of multiple ...

Re: Description Tag Mod

Got it
But when the message - the post itself - is being viewed, I would like the first part of the message text to be included in the description meta tag.
Is this an unreasonable request?

Re: Description Tag Mod

That part worked.
But I can't see a way to fill the variable with the first 64 characters of the post. I've had no luck identifying and parsing the variable containing the post.

Re: Description Tag Mod

Thanks, I added the variable in the $template assign statements in viewtopic.php and viewforum.php. Still doesn't work. $template->assign_vars(array( 'FORUM_ID' => $forum_id, 'PAGE_DESC' => $page_desc, 'FORUM_NAME' => $forum_row['forum_name'], I didn't see a file called page_header.php (2.0.22) The ...

Description Tag Mod

I'm trying to write a mod that puts the first 64 characters of the message body into a description meta tag. In trying to figure out how to do this, i've begun by trying to make the description tag the same as the page_title. In viewforum.php and viewtopic.php I tried to add a new variable: $page_de...

Description Tag = 64 chars of the post

GREAT WORK - Now the Title Tag is fine. (Except on the home page, which now reads "Index". Where can I change that?)

Can you give me some idea as to how to make a DESCRIPTION tag to consist of the first 64 characters of the actual post?
