All buttons broken ???

I made some changes in my Apache configuration because of a security breach on my web server, completely separate from the site where I use phpbb, and now all buttons are broken in phpbb. When I click on any button, I get a 400 error from Apache, every time. Any clues as to what could have made this...

Another problem has cropped up: there are a large number of users in the database with semirandom names that have obscene URLs for their "personal website". I would like to be able to just run a quick SQL query to remove them, but I don't know exactly which tables to include. I would like to create ...

So, who thought up this .mod file extension anyway?

The .mod file extension has been in use for decades by the computer music community, starting with Amiga users, making it really messy for anyone who has a library of these files and wants to open a phpbb .mod file to read it.

Re: GREAT!

This actually resolves the whole issue and, may I say, makes the original mod pretty worthless. Sorry, Joe Belmaati! But what we really need is to stop the guests from posting their ugly URLs. This would be good if it worked, but it doesn't, so I am left with the same problem - the mod in this thre...

How do I add this mod to an existing PHP installation? Note: I know very little about Linux, less about Apache, and only what I've learned over the last week or two about PHP while trying to maintain and modify a web server that I have inherited, which was set up by a completely self-taught (i.e. no...

Thanks, now I just have to figure out how to set it up.

I inherited a (Edit) LAMP server with a bunch of PHP stuff in it, and I know little about Linux, less about Apache, and virtually nothing about PHP except what I've picked up trying to work with this site.

Ah, this is the life

Filtering public forums

Is there an easy way to filter public forums so that if a string appears in the name of the poster or in the body of the message it will not be posted to the forum? I don't need to provide any soft of feedback message necessarily, just prevent a bunch of spamming in the public forums, and possibly s...
