Re: Annoying malaware google warning

Thank you for your reply. Very kind of you. Sadly though I am not very good with these things. I know nothing about backdoors and servers and so on. I'm just an amateur trying to run a forum. I've been doing so for many years though without problems. To be honest, it seems as if I will have to give ...

Hi, For a period of 6 months I've been getting warnings from Google that my site is infected with malaware, bad code. It is indeed. My host helped me find some bad code with "Grep" and found the code in Files/index.htm. Of all my sites and pages, it is only my PhpBB that is infected. I have always u...

Re: Can't find virus code in phpbb

My host helped me out and found the code in like 2 seconds. It was in the index.htm file in board/files. It's almost as if it knew where to hide itself. Scanning sites are therefor worthless.

Re: Can't find virus code in phpbb

Thank you all for being so kind with trying to help me. I have found nothing in my code and contacted Google about it. I have told them this several times and they have removed the warning, but after a week or two the warning comes back. No other sites or search engines gives me this warning.

Re: Can't find virus code in phpbb

Hm, that's way to complicated for me. It wants me to fill out some incident tracker but I don't know what page has been injected with malaware and so on so I cant fill it out. I'll never be able to solve this.

Can't find virus code in phpbb

About a year ago my site was injected with some bad code through a not so updated Wordpress site on the same server which served as a backdoor. I managed to fix everything, or so I thought. Now way later Google starts to warn that 1 page on my site has bad code in it. I have noooo idea how to find i...

Re: Someone trying to login?

Ok. So is it like some random dude trying out of the blue or is it more likely bots?

Someone trying to login?

Once when I tried to login it said I failed to login and there have been too many attempts to login even though I only tried once. This now happened to a few of my users and a friend on another board reported the same problem. Why is this happening? Is some bot trying to login with users accounts?

I am the founder yes. I cannot remove the edit button through the permission system. I tried. Both for user and my group. I still see it.
