Just edit the file "overall_header.tpl" in "templates/(template name)/" with a text editor like notepad. Look for and replace "logo_phpBB.gif" with your own image name.

"Good" and "free" don't often collide in the same sentence when it comes to hosting. You could take a look at http://www.tripod.lycos.co.uk/ but it's pretty slow from what I hear.

Make sure that there is no space before the "<?" at the top of the page or after the "?>" at the bottom. That should fix the error :)

Have you installed any other mods yet? Personally I find it easier to drop the pre-editied files included with the attachment mod (separate zip in the "contrib" folder" on top of an un-modded board then run the table install script. I don't think the database name would be "lycos" and the hostname should be "localhost".... Take a look at this thread for setting up databases on Lycos.

Don't touch it :) It holds the database username/password/access information. The forum will not function at all without it.
