PM removal?

I have read a post on our forum, from a member, who alleges that she has had a PM 'removed' by a private message filter.

Does anyone know what this means?

Thanks in anticipation :)

Post before using PM facility

Is there any feature in phpBB 3.0 that enforces a member to initially post, after joining, before being able to PM other members?

I have found this information for previous versions of phpBB but not for the current version.

Thanks. :)

Re: Totally confused by permission settings

I checked these, but they were set correctly, as I thought. So, I called up the individual user and selected 'permissions' from her drop down menu and under 'forum moderator permissions,' the edit faciility iis set to 'never', so presumably, this has something to do with it. But, I have no idea how ...

Totally confused by permission settings

One of my registered users is complaining that she can't edit her posts. I've used her permissions, but although I can see she can't edit, haven't a clue how to sort it out. Where in the whole thing, would settings override all this? Registered users are set to edit their own posts, but clearly they...

Thanks again! :)

Re: Permanently banned from site

I have only banned IP addresses that are registered from China or Russia, or the like. The spammers that I have now banned, are the same ones, trying to join over and over again. The problem with our banned members are usually Tiscali or BT accounts and it happens regularly. I have checked their IPs...

Re: Permanently banned from site

We are out of date, as I have not had time (or confident knowledge to update) and the banning of the spammers was done by IP addresses, after checking where they were from. ie. Ru or China; they are known, because they have stupid names and repeatedly keep trying to join, at odd hours of the night. ...

Permanently banned from site

I have had some PMs and emails from members, who have tried to log in and have received a 'you have been permanently banned from this site' message. As I haven't banned any members, or IP addresses lately, apart from ones from spammer addresses, I don't know how to advise the members, to whom this h...

New forum category not visible

I have recently been trying to create a new category for my forum and although it shows in the list, (the one which invites me to edit, synchronise, delete etc), I cannot see it on the front page of my board. I thought that I'd altered all the permissions to view it, for all, but I can't see it, let...

Access to forum permission

I'm sorry if this has been asked before. Some of my new members are joining purely to read the 'member only' forums, which are hidden from general viewing, to those who aren't members and children. As I am unable to tell who the new members really are, until I can see them online and can see where t...

Re: Forbidden access to viewonline.php

Thank you; I thought this was the case. We have a lot of server problems.
I will do as you suggest. :)
