Re: phpBB Weekly Episode #164

Where is the podcast URL for this "podcast"? The podcast had been dormant in my iTunes for a while (which had been announced, so no suprises there) and then last week I found out there had actually been several episodes released since the last one in the feed. All I find is direct links to the indiv...

Brute force login attacks going on?

Hi all, In the past few days, I've had some of my members report that they were treated to the "Too many login failures" CAPTCHA. They didn't seem to expect it, i.e. they had not tried logging in several times before getting the error. Also, I myself have noticed that I was logged out sporadically. ...

Re: I've just bought a rocket theme membership for phpBB3

RokBridge is something different than a RocketTheme. It's from the same company (well...). I thought the RokBridge itself was pretty clean, actually.

Re: I've just bought a rocket theme membership for phpBB3

You posted the preceding post in its entirety, while it is right there to be read, should people need a reminder what its content was. Anyway, let's nog backseat-moderate. In defense of businesses like RocketTheme, they are relatively small, so extensive testing is a large burden on their organisati...

Re: when auto-prune happens?

I suppose. But your post begs another question. How common is it to have a forum that noone actually goes into, ever (I myself have a trashcan forum, for example, which is visited rarely, but still me or one of my moderators wanders into it occasionaly to take a peek)? :) I suppose (just guessing he...

Re: Drupal Integration?

You'll have to ask for support for that particular module over at the project page on drupal.org. That is a different module from the one that ckwalsh is developing.

Re: Google Analytics Code Pastig

You made a mistake copying over the code. Most likely, you interfered with one of the phpBB template language directives, which is usually the reason for PHP errors in cache-files (the template files get parsed into PHP, and the parser is not that error-proof; it will happily generate wrong PHP code...

Re: [BETA] [Bridge] Drupal Bridge 0.0.1

I think its more a matter of where the demand will be, which completely depends on how quickly Drupal 7 takes off after the gold release. If it's expected that it will take off quickly, it may be a good idea to concentrate efforts there. I doubt it will, though

Re: [BETA] [Bridge] Drupal Bridge 0.0.1

I've had a quick look at the code. Am I correct when I say that the visual integration is purely based on your theme adding a Garland-look to the Subsilver theme? I.e. it's purely cosmetical and there is no integration with the Drupal menu system, etc.? I found a reference to integrating with Drupal...

Re: Drupal Integration?

Is there somekind of overview somewhere? Planned features? Architecture? Which versions for Drupal and phpBB? I am working on a new version of my website, which is going to be Drupal based, and I took the path of keeping phpBB as the forum solution. I have an existing userbase that is used to certai...

Re: I've just bought a rocket theme membership for phpBB3

With the coming official bridge for Drupal and phpBB3 and themes for both of them from Rocket themes I guess it could be killer website. Do you have a link where I can find more information about this official Drupal/phpBB bridge? I am working on my own, but if there's an official effort, that will...

Re: Discuss: phpBB 3.1 discontinues support for PHP < 5.2

@DJ Danni: Are both installations running the same phpBB version? I don't think phpBB 3 has been giving this notice always (considering this announcement was done quite some time after phpBB 3.0.0 was released).

Re: Discuss: phpBB 3.1 discontinues support for PHP < 5.2

Well, considering there is no such thing as PHP 5.5 (there are 5.2 and 5.3 stable releases, and a 6 development release), I think you're only adding to the confusion now :) phpBB 3.1 will require PHP 5.2 or higher. This topic is not about any change in requirements wrt the MySQL version, which is co...

No, the pages should be indexed no problem without any mods. Check the permissions set for the bots group.

Indeed. My first suggestion would be to rename that phpinfo.php5 to phpinfo.php and see what it reports then.
