ACP for Project Honey Pot

Project Honey Pot allows Web site owners to put invisible links -- attractive pots of honey, if you will -- on their sites which allow the Project to discover, track, blacklist, etc comment/post spammers and email harvesters and rogue bots and more. This MOD request does NOT do any blocking NOR is ...

Re: php include - including, but not executing

My previous searches were limited to the support forum. Thank you for pointing me in the right direction. For anyone else who searches this forum, PHP includes work perfectly in phpbb version 3 templates when coded as: <!-- INCLUDEPHP test.include.php --> relative to the ROOT directory of the...

php include - including, but not executing

I have followed the instructions found here in order to include a PHP file with code in the footer of my forum. The file is successfully included. This is proven by the fact that html code and comments at the beginning and end of the include file are visible in the page source. However, none of the ...

Re: Mass delete of thousands of posts

I figured out another way around this: Through MCP, mark topics I want to keep as Announcement or Sticky, then prune the entire forum. Mass delete of thousands of posts

I have a forum which had essentially fallen into disuse for over a year because of excessive spamming. I am now taking it back! :-) I have: a) updated phpbb to 3.0.8 (from an earlier 3.0.x version) b) mass deleted thousands of registered spam "users" and their spammy posts c) manually deleted hundre...

Re: Conversion completed, access your board-unavailable

I even changed the board_disabled config variable in the database by hand to 0 (board active) yet the the new board is not reenabled (after deleting the install directory, etc) and despite turning it back on through the ACP. Differences: I enabled the previous installation by changing board_disable ...

To save someone time...

Try renaming the variable $confirm_guest_post to something else. To save time for others who might waste an hour looking for this... If you are renaming the variable, remember, it's in posting.php AND in the posting_body.tpl file of EACH template. $confirm_guest_post is in posting.php in the...
