Re: [ALPHA] Simple Topic Calendar v0.0.3

Not right now. I'm going to fix up this topic in between classes soon.

Re: [ALPHA] Simple Topic Calendar v0.0.3

I mentally discontinued this mod, but apparently there's some demand for a calendar still so when I have free time (between college and jobs and stuff) ill put some time into it and stuff.

No ETA yet.

Re: [ALPHA] Simple Topic Calendar v0.0.3

This mod is still being used? Does it even work on the latest phpBB3?

Re: [ALPHA] Simple Topic Calendar v0.0.3

But what's the fun in that?

We were considering before managing two MODs, this Simple Topic Calendar and a considerably larger Advanced Topic Calendar that had a bunch of options. I guess that I could add birthdays to that set :P

Re: [ALPHA] Simple Topic Calendar v0.0.3

Oooh. That's a nice idea. I guess that could be an attrib, or maybe just a setting in the PHP file... don't feel like adding settings, this is supposed to be simple to install. I can package birthdays in with the main file without making any more complex, but letting people enable/disable them via t...

Re: [ALPHA] Simple Topic Calendar v0.0.3

If a member has subscribed to a topic that was added to the calendar, can members be notified via email or PM on the start date, that the topic event is "active"? If that's possible, any suggestions on how to do this? This MOD does not do it, but scheduling mail like that is pretty tricky because y...

Re: [ALPHA] Simple Topic Calendar v0.0.3

It looks possible to integrate it, but I don't have the time right now. You'd have to look at what happens to viewforum.php from the MOD and transfer them over to viewcalendar.php. Resizing can be changed in the CSS and there is a call somewhere to shorten titles, it passes a max length, so all you ...

Re: [ALPHA] Simple Topic Calendar v0.0.3

This is a "simple" MOD, so I've been debating whether to add code to View Forum, View Topic, etc. however it IS possible, and if I don't add it to the main MOD, I'll make a contrib section.

Yes, you enable forums to contain events with a checkbox in an ACP, so you can check as many as you want.

I just got redirected to //index.php on your testbed after signing in for the first time.

Re: [ALPHA] Simple Topic Calendar v0.0.3

Hmm, I'm going to have to look into that. Even now I'm wondering what that code I wrote way back when does. BTW, if you are familiar with git, feel free to fork us on github and commit changes there :P [ EDIT ] I decided your code looked pretty good and commited it . It's in the master "cutting edge...

Re: [BETA] phpBB OpenID ver 0.1

Hmm. I like the first part of the plugin system obsticals (for my project). phpBb should've planned ahead and let the plugin specify the fields that would be shown, etc. but they probably focused more on what's waiting at the back end to check a combo, not the overall flow of the application. If you...

Re: [ALPHA] Simple Topic Calendar v0.0.3

I am hoping that he just meant they SHOULDN'T see any problems (instead of should).

I'm going to be away for the next week, and with my luck, there will be a sudden burst of questions then.

Re: [DEV] Multi-Forum 0.3.2

You can let people who have their own MySQL process (or know the admin) create an account that can create accounts and databases, then enter that into the main ACP so that it has everything it needs so set up subboards (I think).

Re: [BETA] phpBB OpenID ver 0.1

I've been an avid phpBB2/3 user for years, just my network's operators liked SMF better :P Anywa, here's what I'm trying to do. This is an IRC network's site. All the users have NickServ accounts. I set up a custom OpenID provider that uses your NickServ accounts, so you have an OpenID account if yo...

Re: [BETA] phpBB OpenID ver 0.1

I'm going to look at this MOD later. We were using SMF but it turned out to be way too much hacking to even get the implementation working. (Plus I have no idea how SMF is put together, etc.) I just spent the past few hours writing an OpenID server, just to find out SMF fails, so I'm considering swi...
