Re: Is there a search log?

Thanks for the advice, but the table is empty. I'm guessing search results get purged after a certain amount of time. Was worth a shot though, thanks.

Is there a search log?

Is there a search log for phpBB3? If possible, I'd like to view who searched for what, and on what day. I see when I perform a search, that it appears under "Recent Searches" next time I go back to the search page. So it was my thinking that phpBB needs to be keeping search terms in memory somewhere...

Re: remove "target=_blank" from posts

However, this SQL will replace that text with nothing: update phpbb_posts set post_text = replace(post_text, '"target=_blank"', ''); Am I doing something wrong here? I ran the above SQL on my DB...it said 545 rows were affected...but it seems to have made no difference on the board itself. All of t...

Re: "Similar / Related topics" mod for PHPBB3 ?

Does this mod work well with phpBB3? How many "related threads" does it display? Anybody have a demo of it up or a screenshot? Thanks!

Re: remove "target=_blank" from posts

I don't believe it was the MOD from the knowledge base article, I think I found in some random post from a guy who knew a guy who said it worked... I have found that knowledge base article with the approved MOD and will be doing that next. Just wanted to attempt to clean up the former before doing i...

remove "target=_blank" from posts

When I first switch to phpBB3, it annoyed me that posted URLs did not open in a new window. So I tried a mod I found which added "target=_blank" to the link automatically, which caused the link to open in a new window. Worked well, except that if you previewed the post, or quoted it, "target=_blank"...

Re: Moving board...update first?

Thanks for the help, worked great. I'm back up and running, and everything looks intact. One last question though... My 3.0.RC5 SQL gzip'd backup weighed in at around 23mb. After restoring it to the 3.0.2 board and running database_update.php, I immediately made another backup of the db. This one we...

Re: Moving board...update first?

So, just so I've got this correct... Back up 3.0.RC5 db on old server Install 3.0.2 on new server Restore 3.0.RC5 db on new server Run ../database_update.php Yes? :? Do I need to do anything special to retain my attachments (apart from backing up the /files folder and restoring it on the new server) ?

Moving board...update first?

I'm presently running 3.0.RC5 of phpBB. I'm prepping a move to a new server. Can I install 3.0.2 on the new server and restore my 3.0.RC5 db on it? Or do I need to update 3.0.RC5 to 3.0.2, then do a db backup, and then restore the db to a fresh install of 3.0.2? Appreciate any help. I want to make s...

Re: Re-Parse BBcode?

I'm going to bump this because I'm having the same problem. I just installed 3.0 and converted my 2.x db. Everything works wonderfully except for the old YouTube BBcode. Any NEW YouTube videos that are posted are displaying fine; it's the old ones that are simply displaying the code.

Re: Problem restoring DB via BigDump

After letting BigDump sit idle for about six hours, I hit refresh. It zipped through the restore process in about 30 minutes. So my database has been restored and the board is functional again. But attachments are no longer showing up. Paperclip icon is present on threads that should contain attachm...

Problem restoring DB via BigDump

I accidentally "pruned" my entire board. I thought I was only removing threads with zero replies, but it turned out that a lot more than that was deleted. Luckily I had done a full backup last week via the board's "Backup Database" feature. I tried the "Restore Database" feature a couple times but t...

Installed the Multiple BBCode Mod and this YouTube Mod both in under 10 minutes. Works beautifully! Thanks for an excellent mod!! I may, however, remove the "Link" that gets posted below the video. Clicking on the video itself will take you directly to the video on YouTube, so the link is really kin...

Actually, that didn't quite work out like I wanted. It blocked the forum and Who Is Online box from Guests, but it also hid the forum from logged-in users as well. I tried moving the logged-in switches around the forum body, but it's still hiding the forum from users that are logged in as well. Why ...

This is exactly what I came here to find out. Thanks!

I took it one step further; moved the <!-- BEGIN switch_user_logged_in --> tag up to the very top of index_body.tpl. Now the only thing guests see is the login box. Just the way I like it!
