import from 2.21 to 3.x

Can I import just certain forums, with their posts, from 2.21 to 3.x, after 3.x has been in operation for some time? (Some postings from the 2.21 will be made by the same email addresses as who are registered in 3.x)

Re: [RC2] Anti Bot Question

I'm considering converting from phpBB2 to phpBB3, but I wonder, does anyone know if phpBB3 by itself is as good as this ABQ MOD with phpBB2?

Re: Anti Bot Question

MagMo's Anti Bot Question MOD for phpBB2 has been great for us. I would have assumed that the creators of phpBB3 would have included the features of that MOD in phpBB3. I haven't converted to phpBB3 yet. Are you sure that an Anti Bot Question MOD is necessary with phpBB3? Why would those features be...

Re: Truncation of MS SQL (non-odbc?)

Thanks, it worked perfectly with my MSSQL database. I guess the 12000 is the number of characters which can be changed. Any down side to having it very high, like 100,000?

Re: Max size for phpbb 2.x posts?

My posts longer than about 650 words get truncated too. I'm using MSSQL Server 2005.

How can I increase the max. post length?

Automatic login with Safari doesn't work when coming from a

I have a moderator who is using a Safari browser on a Mac. He says that when he has previously checked, (in the login screen), to be logged in automatically on his next visit, and when his next is from being referred by a link, then it won't log him in automatically.

Any ideas?

Is there a limit to the number of forums in a category in 2.0.21?

Moderator is not told they need to log in

When the Moderator gets the email notification of a post requiring approval, there are two possible links on it to click. If the Moderator is not logged in to the board and he clicks the lower link, which is the link to approve directly, he gets the message "Sorry, you can only edit your own posts"....

I have a few lines of VB script from an ASP page - a database connection, a query and a table of results. I don't suppose there is an easy way to get that to execute and display in the message body?

Error on "Click HERE to View Your Message"

My server admin applied write permissions and it successfully installed with EASYMOD. It seems to work properly, except that when a user submits a reply, and then goes "Click HERE to View Your Message" instead of their message, they see this error message: Could not obtain topic information DEBUG MO...

Probably the files are missing. I suggest clean the directories under \admin\mods\ and try it again. I wasn't sure exactly what you meant by 'clean'. So I removed the directories \admin\mods\backups and \admin\mods\processed because they were not there when I first uploaded the MOD. Then my file st...

Trying to install with EasyMOD

In EasyMOD, Settings, File Access, I changed Writing to Server and Moving to Copy, as I suggested, but now I have a different error: Critical Error Function Trace: open_files[5]->modio_open[3] Could not open [./mods/approval_mod/processed/index.php.txt] for writing.
