Well, sounds right to me. Now I can relate a username with the name that comes in on the phpBB checkins list. ;) Thanks!

Well, it looks like Meik has done it for me. :P Anyway, overall, I think Paul, James, Meik (AcydBurn... thanks A_Jelly_Doughnut), and myself (with myself being the most frequent check-iner of config.php). :D YAY! I WIN! 8)

A final word... maybe?

While I sit here writing this, I think of everything that I've done in the past with the Group... and I certainly have no regrets. It's had its ups and downs, but I think I've gained something out of it. What? Ok, maybe I'm not quite sure on that. Maybe it's some principles of teamwork, free softwar...

Or, another great recommendation (per theFinn and others) is to donate to the Red Cross or some other local charity. That would most likely help the most. ;)

Please use "Watch this topic" -- much kinder.... ;)

As for your problem, if you're referring to PHP sessions, we don't use them for compatibility. Otherwise, I'm afraid, I don't understand.

As a moderater-ish thing, I'm deleting all of the pointless posts.

Obi Wan: I'm going to make this very simple. While we appreciate your using phpBB2, you have to be patient with the support team. Everyone here is a volunteer - nobody gets paid. As for your problem, the Support-Team has asked for your gzip version - certain versions of gzip will cause strange behav...

Well, I dunno. You have to find where there is an option like "Change ownership" or something like that. I would probably talk to your hosting provider, or reinstall phpBB2 and simply use the same config.php (do not use install.php, you could use something like the dbtester). You should be...

That's exactly what's being done in CVS. The issue will affect any is_file, is_dir, file_exists, etc. type request, so they will be updated, and will be completely backwards-compatible. :) I started the switch a long time ago, but I have not finished yet....

Hello. I have looked at this bug, and it is just an issue with PHP changing how the functions must be called. There is a fix in CVS, and it should be backwards-compatible (as far as I know, I haven't broken anything), but I'm not finished. The exact details are PHP now requires is_file, is_dir, etc....

Right now, I'm thinking it may be a misconfiguration, but what puzzles me is the fact that other scripts are including just fine... :| Maybe try renaming the forward slash to an escaped backslash. (\\) Who knows, maybe that will work with the include line... Also, did you do any patch upgrades or wa...

It's in Administration->General Admin->Configuration. Look for Cookie Domain, Cookie Path, and Cookie Name. Make sure Cookie Domain is blank, or .yourname.tld (replace that with your real site).
