Re: All users have the same IP range.

IP banning is ineffective and a waste of time and resources. If you have spam issues, post back and we can help you.

Re: Error on update

The errors appear to be from the php.ini file. That is not a phpBB file. Ask your hosts about the php.ini errors. Error 500 is a server error. Or try switching to php 7.0

Re: problem while updating from 3.1.1o to 3.2.3

From that message, it appears you are using the Automatic Update Package. Don't. Do this: Notes: Your server must be running at least PHP 5.4.7 or higher. phpBB 3.2 is not completely backwards compatible with 3.1 and custom edits may no longer work. The easiest upgrade method is to remove all existi...

Re: Error on update

Revert to your backup. Reinstall the Board Announcements Extension (nothing in the instructions says to disable extensions; in fact it says "(Note: take care not to delete any extensions in your /ext folder when uploading the new phpBB3 contents.)"). Then try again.

Give us a screenshot of the output of the Forum-based permissions mask for the Anonymous user and a forum in which Guest posting is happening.
This one Steve?
No. For future information, that is not a Permission MASK output. That is just the permissions.

Re: Updating from 3.2.2 to 3.2.3 - Files Yes, Db No

OP, try running this SQL on your database and then do the database update again.

Code: Select all

ALTER TABLE phpbb_user_notifications DROP INDEX itm_usr_mthd
For how to do that, see Executing SQL Queries in phpMyAdmin

Also, you did backup your 3.2.2 database before starting the update, didn't you?

Re: Upgrading from 3.0

What method are you using to upgrade? If your 3.0.x board is broken, it probably won't get fixed by an upgrade. What do your server error logs say about the 500 error?
