Re: Problem updating phpBB 3.0.5 -> 3.0.6

Actually, never mind.

I figured out how to do everything the hard way. I used the changed files only. My only stopper was figuring out which files were modded, because I have MODs installed and that is why I was using the automatic updater (it detects modded files).

Thanks anyway,

Problem updating phpBB 3.0.5 -> 3.0.6

Hello... For quite some time now, I have had problems updating phpBB 3.0.5 to 3.0.6. I get through everything, including updating the database, until the transfer of new files occurs. That screen is where it transfers new files; it looks green, and updates about every 2-3 seconds. Here's my problem:...

Re: Simple Subforums

I've never installed mods before.

How do i do this? there seems to be no Read Me file included.

I'm assuming you copy the files in the directories to the directories in the phpBB 2 folder. But what about the files not in a directory? Where do i put them?

Thanks!

antphp wrote: is because the local user reported for the phpbb soft is " <mailto:username@domain.es>"
Wth? username@domain.es is AN EXAMPLE mail user. We'll need the actual mail link your trying.

Also a log of the error.

Re: mail error ?

I need more information, what mail server are you using? what server software are you using? (usually apache), get the picture? From the sounds of it your using Apache on some operating system with php and all that crap installed in it. You have installed phpBB and are having problems mailing people...

i wasn't saying its no use of put that it

I was not saying that it would not be a useful feature, infact i think it would be a good feature... if only it wasn't a mod. As he said, registering via the registration panel and logging-out of admin just isn't right. We need to get a phpBB Developer in here... or at least someone who is working o...

Depends what you mean

That depends what you mean, as in like they can edit the logo from their UCP? if so you'd need to add in a mod to phpBB, which currently in Beta 5 is not supported and you will NOT get technical support if you have it in a live environment... Another thing if you do make the mod they will release RC...

RC1: When making a mod...

Hello ya'll im not here to say "i'm making a mod for phpBB3 Beta" but however, currently phpBB 3.0.0 Beta 1-5 all have a "module" tab under "System" in the ACP, which means when you install a mod the settings for that mod will appear under the ".Mods" tab default on the right of all the tabs in the ...

You've got a point... plus to top it off if you KNOW its wrong you can right click and choose "Add to dictionary", which i've been doing alot >.> like for one "Its", instead of "It's" NOTE: the firefox dictionary IS case-sensitive so like "Hello world If" would be wrong and "Hello world if" would be...

If its coming from phpBB in error and not the server (i.e. Apache) then you might of entered something wrong in the way your server and phpBB will operate together. Try setting the sql db server to "localhost" and the server domain to "localhost", of course "LocalHost" and "127.0.0.1" are the same s...

Re: how to add users from the admin index page

He's right, there is no mod or "way" to add someone manually, however if they register you can activate and deactivate their account. Useful if your phpBB3's mail client doesn't work (like mine >.>) If you want to try the latest stable phpBB and the latest beta phpBB come to my site, and not the one...

they do ...kinda...

Yeah they do want support from people testing (hints beta testers -- for the beta products), beta testers are supposed to tell the person/company making the item about bugs, features, etc., if they don't then that bug/feature would probably be left there... and the feature thing im talking about are...
