Re: IPB 2.0 to phpBB 3.0

There's nothing available (that you're aware of), nothing in development, no other place to search, and no work-around? :(

IPB 2.0 to phpBB 3.0

Hi all, I searched and looked through the topic list here but couldn't find one specific to this version. I'd like to convert an IPB 2.0.3 board to phpbb 3.0.6, is there any convertor out there? Or suggestion/workaround to do that? I saw something about IPB 2.3 but I'm not sure I could use that. PS:...

Excellent, thanks.
Although that is 18-month old information, maybe figures have changed in the meantime.

phpBB development process

Hello all. For an academic course I'm following (Open Source Technologies) we had to analyze and describe some open source project of our choice. Of course I picked phpBB! Most of the information I needed I knew already or found it, but there's a little part that still looks obscure: the d...

Re: US will colapse by 2010 aparently

Well, truth is pretty simple. In 2010 the US will be conquered by the EU. Period. Be done with passports hassles, all freaking visa papers and money change. Let's make dolleur and forget about it. Yep. Now excuse me but I gotta go the the tank-driving lesson. PS: I believe America, if She stands on ...

Re: IP of guest votes are not tracked, why?

that's all what I see at a first glance, but I could be probably wrong? That has nothing to do with knarfoh's problem, as he doesn't use that field. As for it being hardcoded, yes, it's my board, not a public mod. knarfoh, if you just removed the three lines, and didn't screw up anything else, it s...

Re: IP of guest votes are not tracked, why?

WOW... that did NOT WORK FOR ME... version 3.03. Hum. You've removed that line and the curly brackets around the if? And nothing else? That shouldn't cause any such behavior. No error notes either? Unless they changed something important there between 3.0.2 and 3.0.3. What I have is (note the 3 com...

Re: IP of guest votes are not tracked, why?

IPs are tracked for posts, you can see them clicking on the post "info" icon. I think there's also some kind of search-by-ip feature. For votes, the very simple fix is here . If you want to go a little bit further, you can also save timestamps and useragents of the votes. The problem is th...

Re: Barack Obama elected president

I'm a registered Republican This is another thing I don't understand: 1) why do people need to register to vote? 2) why do people need to register to one party ? 3) can a person then vote for the other party? In Europe you just... go and vote. Here the vote is "a right, a duty, free and secret...

Re: Barack Obama elected president

Well, how can anybody who has never thought like a Jeffersonian appreciate why Americans might vote Republican -- the closest thing we have to a Jeffersonian party -- seemingly against all common sense? Clear now. :) If anyone is interested in how US elections were seen abroad, here is the news fro...

Re: Barack Obama elected president

It seems to me that most other countries in the world are populated with good Hamiltonians , not Jeffersonians . For dummies: strong state vs weak state? If that is, then certainly Europe is mostly Hamiltonian. European and American history are deeply different, I suppose. Mmm. So what? Had we stay...

Re: Barack Obama elected president

Thank you, thank you, thank you, for voting Obama. I think non-Americans might underestimate the probability that the real, hard test of Barack Obama and the American people is yet to come. Of course, you've chosen the worker, not done the work :? All I meant is that US policies and administration ...
