Re: [Discuss] We're in Budapest!

It looks like I'm a little behind the time :-)

I just saw this now. Budapest is beautiful. My father was born there, I still have (a tiny bit of) family left there.

Hope you had a good time. The traveling, from North America, can be a bit daunting, though.

Re: Your feedback on the MOD Database and Validation process

its the authors responsibility to write a good text to describe his own MOD. Absolutely. I already agreed to that. But just like good coding is a requirement, so should (at least the existence of an attempt to provide) decent documentation be. Could you at least provide a place for a decent 1 or 2 ...

Re: Your feedback on the MOD Database and Validation process

Oh, I absolutely agree that the mod author should be writing that description, not the validators, but the guidelines should ask for such a one paragraph overview and the validators should reject mods that don't have an adequate one. I can't tell you how many mods in V2 I actually downloaded and rea...

Re: Your feedback on the MOD Database and Validation process

Let me get one part out of the way. I've never submitted a mod, so I've left out all those questions. 1. How much experience do you have using the MOD Database? Considerable in V2. 2. Do you like the MOD Database? It's OK 3. What do you like about the MOD Database? Same as everyone else. Validated m...

Re: The one thing I like about phpBB2 better...

I think users should be able to dictate how they browse sites, I don’t think sites should dictate how the users browse. In the past month or so I've been using firefox a lot. It's the first tabbed browser I use. I like being able to chose whether, when I click a link, I open it in the current tab o...

Re: [Beta] phpBB Gallery 0.4.1

This is the first mod I am installing on my forum, and have a problem on the 2nd thing :? What does it mean when it says: "Copy: root/adm/style/*.* To: adm/style/*.* " what are the *.*? I have installed many mods, but haven't run into this problem before .... In this step: Copy: root/install/*.* To...

Re: [Beta] phpBB Gallery 0.4.1

In the sample gallery, there are no comments. Does the package include comments, in the way the smartor photo album did? If so, why don't I see any in the sample?

So what? You're going to run it for half an hour, tops, and you're going to run it closed anyways so people can't sign on and change the database while you're upgrading.

Re: Only shows 1000 users after upgrade from 2

Thanks, that might be the explanation. I did delete users, but only inactive ones, so if the count only reflects active users, I didn't change anything.

I think they would like to look at your boards and see if anything jumps out at them.

But let me ask another question ... don't you have the source to your 2.0.6 board? Why not just re-install that? Or am I missing something?

Only shows 1000 users after upgrade from 2

Your board's URL : http://www.dssreunion.com/phpBB3.0.4/index.php But it's a closed forum, so you won't see much. Version of phpBB2 : 2? It's 3.0.4 Was this a fresh install or a(n) update/upgrade/conversion (please be specific)? upgrade from 2.0.21 using the provided upgrade tool. Did you use an au...

Re: [2.0.19] L-C-R IMG And Text Alignment BBcode

This mod is in the forum 2.0.x MOD Database releases. It is extremely unlikely to work in 3.anything, since the whole way they did this was changed, totally, for 3.

Re: [Beta] phpBB Gallery 0.3.0 - keep it up tsr

What level of V3 did you install? If 3.0.1, this is (I think) the problem I translated from German above.
