Re: MySQLi questions

OK, thanks for confirming you have Copyright in Footer and it does not conflict. Yes, it is version 1.1.1. Today I got the test board back in working order, it is currently on 5.6.40. I already disabled the sitemap once I got back in, but it is still installed. Tomorrow when I am online with someone...

Re: MySQLi questions

You're right, the one guy wondered if it was a PHP 7 problem, but there is no definite conclusion. The other guy woundered if it was PHP 7, and found it was a link issue instead. Neither of those posts resembles this situation. If you tested it with 7.2.26 and it worked, that's great news, and thank...

Re: MySQLi questions

Try Disabling all extensions at once . If that doesn't work (php 7+ compatibility?) you could also use phpMyAdmin. Table phpbb_ext (if your table prefix is not phpbb_ is the table prefix, may be different in your case) Field: ext_active: set that to 0 for the sitemap. Empty /cache (leaving index.ht...

Re: MySQLi questions

True, and I wish extension compatiblity was what I was dealing with. However I broke the acp on a 3.2 test board with 3.2 extensions that worked till today. White screen is possibly a PHP error? If so, how it occurred from editing a URL in an extension is a good question. I wonder if when I backed u...

Re: MySQLi questions

I follow what you mean, if you didn't notice it, it's probably because there isn't an issue, that makes sense. I've managed to break the acp on the test board. I had restored a backup from the live board to the test board. The test board looked fine. Test posted and it worked. I noticed the banner o...

Re: MySQLi questions

Also PHP 5.6 long ago reached EOL and is unsupported, https://www.php.net/supported-versions.php. Did not know that, thank you. You don't need MySQLDumper for a update but a very good en simple replacement is adminer https://www.adminer.org/ I only need it to do a backup before the update. I was lo...

MySQLi questions

We are running 3.2 and will probably wait until an extension is upgraded before we upgrade to 3.3. But I have been reading a few of the intial support posts about upgrading. We are using a 5.6 version of PHP but have a 7.2 version available to switch to when needed. I understand 3.3 is going to need...

Re: TinyPic closing down

For what it's worth, I notified our members of this, and 2 got back to me saying they could not remember their log in and that TinyPic is not allowing password reset. So even if you try to log in and download your pics, it isn't letting you. EDIT TO ADD: Looks like the TinyPic images posted on this ...

Re: TinyPic closing down

I am really sorry to see them close, they were appreciated by so many users over the years and did a real service. That being said, it does leave a mess. I searched 'tinypic' here on phpBB and most of the posts where TinyPic images occur are user posts, but some are well-known helpful members, and I...

TinyPic closing down

It says on their website they are closing down. They were unable to email users to notify them. They had a timeline where you could no longer upload, then the pics would no longer show on 3rd party sites. Right now you can still log into your account and download pics till Sept 16. Unfortunately, I ...

Re: PHPBB Spam ?

We had one who was beating the captcha and coming back with a different disposable email address every day. There's a list of temp mail domains you can ban in the acp and it's up to date. You just have to edit the list to put *@ in front of each domain (like *@trashmail.com) before you put them into...

Re: How to get archive.org bot to crawl viewtopic

FYI, in the webinar they said a 1-yr subscription to Archive-It starts at $3000 USD for 128 gigabytes and is individually priced based on the project. They kept encouraging everyone to run a trial in which they crawl your site and then talk to you about price. When I submitted a question about the f...

Re: How to get archive.org bot to crawl viewtopic

Thanks for checking the permissions. I fixed the print permission for all forums and double-checked them all. I tried what you said about checking permissions of the bot through the acp, the bot can see everything it needs to, thanks. I looked at firefox extensions for user agent switcher so I will ...

Re: How to get archive.org bot to crawl viewtopic

Hi Robert,

Not sure this is what you meant? If not, please give me the dummies version. I don't see where to check forum permissions for a single bot, only the bots group. Thanks!

Re: How to get archive.org bot to crawl viewtopic

It's another good question. I think they're OK?
Here is an example from one forum. Please let me know if you see anything. :)
