Re: hammered by newly registered members

Ours site was hit as well. It had a question that could be solved by a Google search. Around 80 registrations and 15 spam posts today and more registering as I went in to clean up. Changing the question to something really un-google-able appears to have stopped it for now, backing the theory of a da...

Re: Proboards/Invisionfree/ActiveBoards converters

Hi nneonneo, I may have found what's behind another little issue I've seen with the topics today. The script runs in fine and the topics are created. But the page layout when viewing some topics goes a bit mad. Half the page content is crammed to the left in a quote box and then half way down the to...

Re: Proboards/Invisionfree/ActiveBoards converters

Hi nneonneo I've found a small issue in the topics handling from InvisionFree. The python script runs fine against my forum, but the SQL won't run into the database. I've located the bit of SQL that's failing. It's been generated from a topic post in which the member used a mailto link. Looks like w...

Re: Proboards/Invisionfree/ActiveBoards converters

Hi nneonneo, I've tried the updated InvisionFree convertor to see if it got rid of the previous problems I had, but unfortunately I now get the following for each member id when running members_phpBB.py : Traceback (most recent call last): File " ... \members_phpBB.py", line 82, in <module> out.writ...

Re: Proboards/Invisionfree/ActiveBoards converters

Hi nneonneo, I've tried the Invisionfree to PHPBB scripts. I think these are a great idea and match my current migration route from Invisionfree - thanks for sharing these. I hit a couple of small issues and have detailed these below. I'm running against a clean install of the latest build of PHPBB2...

Solved : A full check through all the files showed up an out of date sessions.php file!

For reference it looks like running upgrade.php doesn't harm an existing installation.

Bump !

The other admin's pretty certain that what he was directed to run in step 4 of the original post was "update_to_latest.php".

As the board seems mostly fine, any ideas on the admin control panel loop problem from the above posts ?

Thanks

Paul.

Brf : Thanks that gives me a better idea of what's actually been run. Any idea as to whether running this will have caused a problem? Cybrid23 : When trying to get to the Admin CP it shows the "Reauthenticate" page, but each time you enter the login/pwd it loops back to the same "Reauthenticate" scr...
